I've brought this up in backstage meetings more times than I can count. One stream-of-consciousness thread with all the chat, game news and forum posts is what is a good idea.

What has this got to do with conquer club? Discussions of improvement ideas should be in suggestions.

Suggestions have been implemented in under 24 hours. Then again, some have sat for 10 years. There's no specific time frame.

There is plenty of precedent for people to have a general discussion of an idea in GD either prior to or simultaneously with posting a more specific proposal in Suggs. The Owens of the world will ridicule you for it, but if you don't mind the heat there's no reason not to.
