Can someone explain why my dices are so bad in the year 2016.

Am I punished for something I did?

Short answer: Yes.
Longer explanation: Even if you haven't done something heinous enough to earn the bad rolls you are seeing, rest assured that you will. At that time in your life, your debt will already have been paid. So that will feel good!

For the religious, only certain levels of hell are for the gays. Well, some of the religious.

i usually dont bitch about the dice, it is really crazy lately.

i have no time for this. i am losing pretty much every game. every game right now. i havent won a crucial roll all week long. i mean, i am losing 18-10's all day long.

Damn, who'd have thought that you'd have hit a bad week in 6 years of dice. If you leave the site, take my advice- don't go to Vegas. I think it might break you.

Don't worry. Bad periods of dice happen. It's statistically probable. For instance I had a large number of lucky dice at the start of december raising my score by about 500-600, and in january I had the exact opposite happen when I had 1-1.5 weeks of extremely bad dice dropping my score by equal amounts. And by now my dice seem to have gone back to normal.

Seriously what is this shit!! I start a game and first 10 attacks, game over.

So the odds of losing 5 3v2 battles in a row- theoretically 4.5 in 1000. so approximately 1:250

Except that as I have said before I see this happen all the time!

I cant remember the exact sequence so looking at the above table at best I had it twice in a row. Wow thats unlikely.
Possibly i lost 10 in a row 1 in 50,000.

But theres nothing wrong with the dice. This is normal. we have tested them

I am sure people used to conduct in depth statistical analysis of the dice. Does anybody remember the outcome of that or where that ended up?

Basically everyone's average is mystically fixed to 3.51 and we use a recurring stream of dice resulting in streaks and bullshit. Enjoy.

a post on fixing the dice cc'ers may find persusasive:

Sid Meier, the designer of the computer game Civilization, in which players steer a nation through history, politics, and warfare, quickly learned to modify the game’s odds in order to redress this psychological wrinkle. Extensive play-testing revealed that a player who was told that he had a 33 percent chance of success in a battle but then failed to defeat his opponent three times in a row would become irate and incredulous. (In Civilization, you can replay the same battle over and over until you win, albeit incurring costs with every loss.) So Meier altered the game to more closely match human cognitive biases; if your odds of winning a battle were 1 in 3, the game guaranteed that you’d win on the third attempt—a misrepresentation of true probability that nevertheless gave the illusion of fairness

I play another risk site, they use the same algo as here.
Its dysfunctional enough to destroy the games.
When it happens to me, which seems like almost every game, I roll all my countries down to 1 guy.
I consider the game destroyed and just want to get it over with.

I think eventually somebody somewhere will fix the algo and create a risk site, that site will become the most popular site almost overnight.

Another thing about the algo destroying the games, you never honustly know if you beat your opponent...or the algo won it for you.
Not hard to lose when your opponent cant win a roll.

I'm on firmer ground when it comes to thousands upon thousands of hours playing Civilization.. over several versions.. the 33% winning chance business is not true.. categorically. if you have 33% win chance and you restart til you win, you will be restarting the game LOTS more than 3 times.. I know this because of all the times I've restarted while trying to win an 80% battle and constantly losing it.. 1000's of hours of gameplay don't lie
