I'm playing a freestyle game and the guy misses his turn. Why do I still have to wait? I should be able to take my turn. Is this a glitch or is there a reason for this rule?

because people whined and had the freestyle rules changed... and that is why freestyle went from one of the biggest communities on here with thousands of games daily, to the skeletal remains you are picking about right now... people have asked to have the rules changed back to what they were... we shall see... it has already been so many years and so many players lost, due to this rule change... you would think they would be able to figure this out on their own...-Jésus noir

That change is very old, not the more 'recent' alteration which killed freestyle.

Unfortunately, dgankrom, you will have to wait until your opponent starts their turn or 12hrs have passed - halfway through the time the player(s) waiting can begin even if the person they were waiting for hasn't. That's the only benefit really. It's a shame that players who miss turns are awarded such bonuses.
