Conquer Club

So, top of the Monthly Leaders is a player who's known for tailoring his game to win the medals/prizes associated with this fucked up scoring system; nooruddinaftab. As you can see we're barely into the second day of October and he's already way ahead in the lead. I don't care about this scoreboard, because it's a load of shit, but I don't see how medals and prizes can be awarded for basically cheating the system. What is it that's often said about points gained from point dumping cases not being reversed? Oh yeah, to "maintain the integrity of the scoreboard". LOL! What fucking integrity?

If you look through this guys recent games you'll see he played all the losing ones quickly and has a load he's guaranteed to win just waiting to be played. Funny that. He's done this before and was taken to C&A where nothing happened, so I won't bother with that. Instead I'd rather just get some opinions and/or support here. This kind of thing has been going on since these dumb scoreboards were introduced and nooruddinaftab is just one of many that abuse the system.

Here is a brief list of the games where he could have won already but waits as long as possible to play his turn:
Game 15988251 - Round 12
Game 15988248 - Round 12
Game 15988244 - Round 13
Game 15988243 - Round 14

Yet all the games he's lost have typically been over by the 6th or 7th round.

Personally, I think this scoreboard should just be removed. However, it doesn't seem to be in bigWhams nature to correct his mistakes so my aim is slightly different; if we can get rules/guidelines adjusted to not tolerate this kind of play and treatment of other players, or at least prevent it from counting towards the Monthly Leaders Bollocks Scorebaord, then that would be valuable progress.

well i'm kind of ok with the monthly leaderboard, the most improved is the one that has always been a big no no for me. that one encourages point dumping.

Well, yes, because, how is that forbidden ? The only thing is that people do it on a monthly schedule, but it has always been the case.
I have been told by a high ranker to delay my victories and take my defeats asap years ago already, way before this scoreboard appeared.

Of course this scoreboard is mainly a joke, and the one winning it is the one that use careful preparation ( gonna win the gold one one day but I never lose enough points at the end of the month to be smthg else than 2nd next month ).
Totally agreeing with you on that, even though, in the top 10 many are legits, just the 1st usually a joke

I have no issue if people want to use this lame tactic to increase their points/rank. Josko did it to get Conquerer; he wasn't the only one and obviously won't be the last. My issue is when you win prizes and medals for that month (and any other month a player does it successfully). If you do it for a rank or Conq' then it's not permanent. This isn't something that can be maintained over a long period of time which is why you don't see the same players doing it over consecutive months. However, when you stop players who are actually improving significantly via legitimate means, that is incredibly unfair. Yet somehow Conquer Club tolerates that kind of behaviour.

It can be done but it's not exactly a common method, and it has to be timed well.

As I type this nooruddinaftab is currently top with 3404, whilst second is 936 via legit methods. This is a farce.

There must be a holding hostage case then. If he can finish games in 1 move and takes 4 or 5 then it will discorage freemiums and increase the great decline. You need to pitch the right case in c and a.

It's such bullshit.I saw thhat noorud whatever his name is guy had gotten himself down to Sergeant or Corporal just at the end of September to set up his run...pathetic.

There have been a couple of C&A cases about him on these points already though.

I allways take my games int turn unless team and we discuss strat ... seems farier to everyone:)

I think icaffs point that rewarding it with credits and stars as prizes is the real issue. If you want to...lets call it 'cheating the system' for just bragging rights or a useless trophy, you can do it but whats the point? People could do it, but they aren't really being rewarded in any way, and maybe they do it as a right of passage kind of thing, but once you do it once you'll stop.

Once you offer prizes that have real value, you create a much greater incentive to 'cheat the system', perhaps even every other month.

Ollie and Georgi have both done this twice. I can only say for sure that they are two that cheated to get this medal, can't speak on the others...

Ollie (i believe it was him, must have been slow to claim the case with his mod multi account) was busted for manipulating the scoreboard. others have done it since and nobody seems to notice or care...

Kinda sums this place up don't it...

The crappiest part is that my taxes probably pay for a lot of you idiots' food stamps and well-fare checks...

Exactly! Nobody does that via honest methods. Mine itself is quite extreme but that's what happens with a 150-200 game count.

As in most things there is the good and bad. I won the Monthly Leader and The Most Improved I the same month this summer.
Reason was simple....my rank greatly decreased due to a summer vacation cruise. Thought I was gonna play a lot on the ship but the wireless fees were too much. Anyways, I had worked for so long to gain my Major rank ...almost just quit playing.
The Most Improved medal kept me hanging though and encouraged me to rebuild my rank. Not all huge drops in rank are done on purpose....just saying.
