When some players define a number of rounds for a truce, like for example 10 rounds, but before this 10 rounds happen, only the two players are left........one think that the other player will respect the number of rounds they agree on....the other player think that the truce automatically end. Comments please.....

Truces are dumb. Never trust a player who makes a truce with you. Stab them in the back before they stab you. Kill them first, and profit.

Bollocks in 2015.

Depends how its worded. 10 rounds is a long time if everyone else dies a round or two rounds into it.

No they dont, its just you tell yourself this so you can sleep at night.

Personally I avoid truces, each to their own.

truces are for weak players. truces are not enforced by site rules. if you enter a truce, you had better be ready to break it when it is best for your situation. if you enter a truce, you had better be ready for the other player to break it when it is best for his situation. the black jesus has spoken...-Jésus noir

@OP, you can ignore that, those are a minority, everyone do truce, truce are part of the game and should be respected, truce breaker are fortunately quite rare.

It is a non sense to keep a truce when only two players remained, in most of the case, winner should be known as should as there is 2 of you one always have advantage. You may be extremely nice and decide to wait and give your notice. Every time it happened to me, game was over anyway and I was able to kill remaining player in 1 or 2 turns, prolonging the game by waiting was useless but why not.

no, truce breaking is a pretty common occurrence here on CC... we actually had a few just pop up in the C&A forum, members seeking some sort of punishment for truce breakers... just like the board game, they happen here on CC, ALL THE TIME. rest assured, if anyone ever comes at me for a truce, they had just better expect it to be broken when it is most beneficial to me. truces are stupid, period. there can only be one person that wins the game, you can't decide to "tie" or "split the points". so, why would you expect someone to watch you get in a position of certain victory, while they sat idly by due to a truce... if they do, they are an idiot... truces are meant to be broken... the black jesus has spoken...-Jésus noir

p.s.-donell, don't think i didn't catch your little "minority" dig... ;)

Owen, if you never use truces how can you know how often they're broken? As someone that uses them during times of necessity I can say, from my experience, they're rarely broken. The number of C&A reports bears no reflection whatsoever without comparison data. Just because you disagree with truces and dislike them doesn't mean they're pointless or a cheap way of playing.

Truces are not meant to broken, but they are designed to be limited within reason and eventually cease.

You do not. You gave a notice, then after waiting one or 2 rounds as planned, you then attack the one you had a truce with.
The C&A report for truce breakers, if anything, indicate that truce breaking is so rare, that when it happened, the "victims" of the truce breaking believe it's against the rule ;) .

I am using tons of truce and have maybe witnessed only twice during my CC time a truce breaking. Truce breaking without giving notice is definitely not the rule here on CC. People disliking truce, yes there is, significant amount of them, but truce breaker, not that many. Let's give the real picture to this newcomer in the forum.
