Alphabet deciding progression in tourneys?

Ive just been evicted from the olympics speed shopping tournament. - game_id=15989548

Its a strange set up in that tourney. As its speed its few games.

Round 1 is 1game 1v1. Round 2 is 2 games 1v1 same person. Now, I should have read the details of the tourney better, so I didnt miss the 2 first turns of a poly-4 game. - Big deal in City Mogul with the massive auto units. Possibly cost me one of the games, but thats my fault, I admit that.

However, the setup means that we are even before the final (2/3), which must happen a lot with that setup. As far as I can tell, I then get evicted because my nick starts with T and his starts with M... Can that really be true? Its probably rarely an issue in other tourneys, but it must happen occasionally.

If that is true, then why is that allowed?

If it is true and it continues to be that way, then can I change my name to A?

Percentage of wins in the tournament as a whole
The cumulative number of Game rounds required to win the games they have won in the tournament (since the last point reset, or the start of the tournament if no point reset has occurred). Note: winning in less rounds is better.
The order in which the player joined the tournament (first player to join wins)

Is there anywhere I can read more about the specifics? - It worries me a bit that the list for a tourney before it starts is not actually using the order players joined in.

Are you sure none of the aforementioned tie breaker rules applied?

I believe it's common knowledge that the current tie breakers for auto-tournaments need adjusting, it's just not possible yet.

No, no.

Seems quite allright that game length decided it in the above example.

Ive just noticed that when you join a tournament and get listed, you dont get listed in the order you join. - And everything should be equal before the tournament starts, shouldnt it?

It doesn't matter how it is outwardly displayed. The system remembers who joined in what order, and uses that record for tiebreaks.
