Yep, you're missing something. I can leave ratings in all games I played. Can you post a screenshot of one of your finished games?

are you talking the old ratings where you could input your own words or the new stars? i haven't had an issue with star ratings today, and the old rating system has been gone for about 5 years.-Jn

I dont think the old system cause I've only been playing 5 years . lol But usually it gave me the option to leave a rating (the 5 stars on the 3 areas) on my finished games. Even like had a reminder saying something like you can rate 3 players or whatever. I dont see any of it. I don't see any option to leave a rating for players. Maybe I'm in trouble.

i just rated people in two games... hmmmm... if you were in trouble, you wouldn't be posting in the forums and you would be able to rate games...-Jésus noir

I see what he means.

Used to be you would goto finished games, and it would say you can leave ratings for 23 members and show you the games you could.

Now you have to go into each individual game to see if there are ratings to give.

How do you do that xroads? I go into finished games and I do not see an option to leave a rating there either.

oh, yeah... been like that for awhile... i stopped rating people after that change... if i'm not finishing the game off and getting to rate them right then, i just generally don't rate them, unless they were a really fun match...-Jésus noir

then enter the game you want to rate

then you can rate them at the bottom

If I win the game, I go straight to ratings before leaving the game and rate it.

If I don't win the game, I figure I haven't earned the right to judge and don't rate anyone.

I adopted that self-imposed rule a while ago (maybe a year, maybe more) and it avoids the whole problem of going back into finished games and rating.

That is pretty dumb. What if you played a good game, but your opponent outplayed you. They dont deserve a high rating for beating you?

Yeah, if it was something really amazing, I would go back and do that. Actually, yes.

But considering the relatively low priority I put on ratings, I often just don't bother, except in extraordinary cases.

ratings aren't nearly as useful or worthwhile as they were, when you could actually RATE people.. the new system is arbitrary and means very little...
consider that most people consider anything under a 4.5, APPALLING, an indication of how poorly the rating system works. the only thing that matters
to me is the percentage of turns taken... period...-Jésus noir

p.s.-the old rating system was an art unto itself... people took pride in the ratings they left/received... they actually meant something...

Yeah, the current rating system sucks. Nobody disagrees with that. Long overdue for an overhaul, but there's just so much else that needs to be done.

you don't have any feedback!!! wow!!! newb!!! going through mine:

Positive For a Texan, he's not bad. Just kidding, lol. Plays a good game. Can't make mistakes against him and you need a lot of old fashioned luck. Plays solid and makes for interesting chat. Would gladly play more games with this player.

Positive Great sociological manipulator like myself. We had a fun time warring over who can get blue to attack who eh? Anyways, it was very close for a good part of the game. Great player. Hope to be on your side in a trio or duo match.

Positive complained that everyone was out to get him, talked some smack and then won the game. what more could you want in an opponent? well, how about one who executed a good plan of action from the beginning of the game and took advantage of some miscues and bad dice on the part of the other players? if so, that's owenshooter.

my one bad feedback:

Neutral Deliberately dragged out the game. Here's all the proof you need: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... =6&t=52638 Compare the times he posted, both on the forum AND in the game chat. He could have very well just taken his turn right there.
owenshooter's response: show it. missing a turn is not grounds for a neg. i gained no strategic advantage by missing my turn, i was eliminated by the next player. *rolling my eyes*

this was so useful!!! a few of the favorites i left:

Positive my new nemesis. i enjoyed slowly twisting my bayonette into his eye socket as he lay dying upon the heap of rotting flesh that was once his mighty army. he squirmed in agony and begged for mercy, and i gave no quarter. my team was truly lucky, and i know if he is given the chance of a rematch, he will be much crueler to me when he is the rightful victor, and i lay dying on his newly seized land...

Positive as i lay on the battlefield, my severed limbs still cluching my weapon in one hand, my mothers st. jude medallion in the other... the world seemed to begin to move in slow motion... the smoke began to settle, the blue sky, dotted with circling birds of prey, came through.. the sun shone down upon my soot covered face... and satisfied and content, i smiled... then Jan1976 stuck his boot on my throat, and slowly choked the life out of me...-0

Positive just kicked my teams ass. what else can i say? it is that simple. he kicked our collective ass.

there were so many issues with this system and people in C&A requesting feedback be changed, due to false allegations, etc... but it was still so much fun and so useful!!!-Jésus noir

I sill can't find where to leave ratings. I go into my finished games and so no option or way to leave ratings.

Just to rant a bit. This looks to be another unnecessary change that CC made that causes more harm than good. Just like the recent change to the gamer finder. I have no clue why they do this shit. I doubt it attracts new players. For god sake all this stupid bullshit is going to cause me to quit the site.

It says "You Have Won." Gives you three things you can do -- share your victory on facebook for a reward -- Rematch -- Leave ratings.

All on the same line. How much easier can it be?

No need to get smart about it. I love how everyone defines CC. You work for them? Moderator or something?

My fucking point is that it was changed and it took me 3 days to figure it out. Why not leave alone. CC changes things for no fucking reason. Whats the sense. Usually makes things worse. But no one cares what I say. Its been crystal fucking clear about that. I pay for the premium. What a fucking con that was to get my money. I think i'll just leave finally. Take my 6 other friends who are premium members too. Since no one fucking cares about us.

If a supermarket changes the aisle layout of where its groceries are, and you liked the old layout better, do you typically file a complaint with the manager?

you continually make this same threat over and over within the forums... it gets tiresome... your question was answered, what is your issue? *eyes rolling*... i am truly glad that your friends have appointed you as the spokesperson for your small group, i doubt they know you continually attempt to throw around your collective monetary power... can you please give us the names of your friends so we can be positive that when you say you have all left, you have truly left? am i being an ass? somewhat... it is just really tiresome continually reading your threats of fleeing the site when you run into the smallest of issues... you have been here since 2010, you should be quite aware of what is going on around here and the attitude of the staff... and duk was actually being very helpful. you found the process difficult and he took a screen shot and showed you exactly what the page said and where and asked what it was you found so difficult... suck it up, cupcake... stop waving the threat of you and your six friends (that i doubt either exist or that you speak for the entire group) leaving, every single time you visit the forums... the black jesus has spoken...-Jésus noir

Is it proper to rate someone you had no real dealing with. For example, I get knocked out and never really fight someone but I see them moving but due to fog I can't see exactly what they are doing. Should I give a 4 because what I saw was very good but not 5 star or not rate at all?

Rating isn't worth it. A rating lower than 4.5 will be considered 'bad', as most players simply rate 5/5/5. Also, gameplay does not refer to "is this a good player" according to the rating manual:
Gameplay: Measures the player's ability to play an enjoyable game (not the player's ability to win). Covers strategy, diplomacy, teamwork, etc...

https://www.conquerclub.com/public.php? ... tructions5

Unless somebody was a dick, I'd recommend rating 5/5/5 as it's not going to change anyway. MichelSableheart strictly rated where 5's were very rare, and as you can see on his rating's left page people bitch about it.
