E short cuts overactive?

When writing in the game chat, I seem to get overactive e´s. Every time I hit an e in the chat, it tries to end whatever turn Im in. When I cancel it the e shows in the chat. Got sent on from attacking early before I noticed what was going on. - Once Ive ended my turn and write in the chat any e sends me to central the next game in line or central command.

Is it my computer acting up or is something wrong more generally. - Anyone else experiencing this or have experienced it at some point?

that is one of the keyboard commands...
CC in game HELP menu wrote:E Key: End Deployment, End Assaults, End Reinforcement

i would assume you need to make sure you have your cursor actively in the CHAT, before hitting "e"... good luck...-Jésus noir

Yes well, for some reason I never write just an "e" in the chat. - Silly as I am, I tend to write complete sentences ;)

Once I hit the first "e" in that sentence though, it behaved as specified above.

Restarted my computer and that seems to have helped at least for now. - Not really sure what happened. Very sure I didnt touch the touchpad or keyboard mouse buttons or the Fn-key for that matter. May have been just a mood in my computer. Seems all right now. Still looking for an answer if someone has an idea, as it was extremely annoying.

Might be time to clean your keyboard. Take off the keys, clean the areas under the keys with isopropyl.

I've never tried it, but I would be very reluctant to use vinegar. Vinegar is an aqueous (dissolved in water) acid. Neither water nor acid is to be trusted near electronic devices. Isopropyl is a non-electrolytic substance. Most alcohols are, but most alcohols are mixed with water in their commercial form. I suggested isopropyl because you can buy it 95% pure at the local hobby shop. You won't find methanol or ethanol 95% pure unless you go to a chemical supply house and pay an arm and a leg.

Vinegar is no more natural that alcohol. Both are naturally occurring compounds, but both are cheaper to make artificially. I love the sanctimonious bullshit of people who decide to pronounce one chemical "green" and another chemical not green. Has she done an actual cost-benefit analysis to see which one burns more resources to produce and distill? No.

I love the planet more than most people, but there's a lot of hokum in marketing of "green" solutions. Most of them don't make a tiddlywink of difference.

Dunno if it's related but so far nobody has been able to convince CC this was a problem.
and you can't even desactivate the shortcuts to avoid any problem...

*cough*... i had refrained from doing this, due to a crusade by a forum goer that seems to find pointing out that SEARCH IS YOUR FRIEND, as some sort of harassment or whatever... thanks for pointing it out!!! i was too afraid of personal attacks to do it...-Jésus noir
