Eddie: yes, I may not have worded it well in the OP, but you are correct, this post is about the new look that updated last night. Drove me nuts immediately. I just like the old way of listing games better. Do you think its possible to work out an "option" to toggle between the display of games? Is this a Tech question? Something to go in the suggestion forum? Am I wasting my time voicing my opinion because nothing will happen?

The 3 columns of squares didn't just happen last night, that was updated awhile ago.

There are people listening, of course. Though not everyone is going to agree everytime. There will always be something someone wants tweaked, so it's never going to be perfect for everyone.
The trouble with making everything an option, is it becomes increasingly difficult to diagnose issues, creates lag, and then those who use X want it tweaked this way and those who don't use X want it tweaked that way and if there's 10 different things, all with different options then the tweaking, complaints, and imperfections are even harder to keep up with for every single use case. Which means any other developments / features wanted to be added on have to be checked 400 different ways with every combination and even then thibgs are missed and then complaints about bugs occur and things become harder and hardware to test before launch properly.

I think part of the main issue is that it was working fine before, and there weren't vast public threads challenging these parts of the site prior to the changes. It kind of appears the recent motto for these changes is "If it ain't broke, we're going to create opportunities to break it". We don't need options, we just need simple displays and methodologies that work. The previous game finder and central command pages worked for so many years and were easily navigated by the majority of the site that remains, why rock the boat on something that was one of the few things not being complained about nowadays?
jmyork82 wrote:Ice Pack, you make a lot of good points. Although the "square look" is not my favorite, I guess it just is what it is.
So, new question, who do we talk to about tweaking the new square look so that we can make it better, or more user friendly. You know, provide feedback and what not?

If it's a bug (it used to work X and now when I try to do X it does Y) or just plain x doesn't work anymore, post in bugs.
If it's something new / tweaking, you could pile in on the topics in GD or (better option) would be to try reaching a consensus via suggestions on how to improve things.
Some people want X to work one way, others want X to work another. So sometimes even "tweaking to make better / more user friendly" again isn't as simple as making the changes, because it might just shift complaints from group a who don't like it how it is, to group b who don't like what it was changed to even tho group a is happy now.
