knowledge Base on all game modes?

Is there anywhere I can read about all the different game options. I pretty much only play standard & tend to avoid pretty much anything else. But with games not really filling with the settings I usually go for I want to broaden my horizon a smidge.

Particularly I want to know:

Trench
Poly - Especially when it's 1v1? I seem to see that quite a bit.
Parachute
Fog - Kinda get this but not enough to actually do anything.
Zombie?!!

there used to be a how to guide by no idea where it is.

Cheers.

Trench - if you advance a stack following conquering a territory you can not attack again from the territory advanced into. You can still attack another territory with the troops left behind, if some advance into the first conquered territory and some don't. The need to foresee several turns ahead is greatly magnified, because you cannot act with great speed and force to move through several territories quickly, even if you have the troops necessary. It's all the more enhanced in a team game by having regard to play-sequence in particular.

Poly - take a poly doubles game involving 2 players, each will control both members of their team and play-sequence is as for a normal doubles game, so e.g. Team 1 = Player A controlling Red and Green, Team 2 = Player B controlling Blue and Yellow. Player A moves for Red, followed by Player B for Blue, followed by Player A for Green, followed by Player B for Yellow. Normal team rules otherwise apply, the only difference between a team and a poly game being that 1 player controls all members of a given team.

Parachute - you can reinforce from non-adjoining territories, as if the troops came in by way of parachute.

Fog - you can only 'see' your own territories, your team-mates if applicable and adjoining territories to yours or your team-mate(s). Other territories appear as a question-mark so you may not know (unless you can work it out) who holds them and how many troops occupy. Requires greater attention to the log and the detailed progress of the game generally in order to know, suspect or guess what's going on in a place you can't see.

I confess I know nothing about Zombie.

Best thing to do in regards new settings is search for public games with such settings where a team-mate is needed, jump in, tell your team-mate you would appreciate some assistance and 9 times out of 10 you will have a great learning experience. I do it all the time myself on maps and settings I havn't tried but want to and I have only had positive experiences. No one will (or should) be critical of you joining their team in a public game with an open slot and most people recognise that everyone has to start somewhere.

Great way to get new team-mates too.

In regards poly games, just jump in and give them a whirl. They're just team games but you only have yourself to bitch and moan to in chat.

Probably there are guides, but I only know where the map-guides are, not the setting-guides. I don't think you need an explanation on what the settings do, because you could know where they are.

You should just try the settings out, most of them are cool. I personally don't like Zombie, but that's just an opinion.

Yeah couldn't find any guides about settings, just general 'Risk' settings.

yeah... no need to direct a player to a crap off site wikia site, when all that knowledge is right here on the site... actually, you took all the info from the site and copy/pasted it there... why not try promoting stuff on here, instead of directing traffic offsite to that train wreck? reminds me of Prime's CC trivia site... *eyes rolling*... ronaldinho, here you go: http://www.conquerclub.com/public.php?m ... tructions3 and it is on the site!!!-Jésus noir

i am amazed at your creativity in copying and pasting information from the site to another... man, you are amazing... they should up your pay...
again, it can all be found on the CC site, sorry, you won't get your little .0001 cent for a hit on your wikia page now, my bad..

http://www.conquerclub.com/public.php?mode=instructions3

the more pressing issue is, how was a long term member unable to locate something as simple as this on the site? goes to show how difficult this is
to navigate for a new member...-Jésus noir

psst... bigotry guidelines... multiple rule changes... see all those clan sigs/branding? yep, started that too... contests with ACTUAL prizes, not 1/4 of a membership... i can go on and on... however, as a member of my fan club, you know all this... but please, continue with your name calling and lame ass "stfu", just making the ban hammer swing a little easier...

i just find it amusing that a member of the community team would guide someone to an offsite page, which they created... even better, they copy and pasted all the info from the site, where it is readily available. seems a team member should not promote their own clicks on an offsite page, but should guide a member to the information on the site... not a pissing match, just a valid criticism of a horrible move by a member of the CC team...-Jésus noir
