I've done fine in terminator games, ranked anywhere from Major to General. Yes, you get people that gun for you if you are higher ranked, but you also get the people who would rather lose to you than the lower ranked person, so if although it hinders you early if you survive the early stages it quickly turns into an advantage having a higher rank.

It's rare to me that someone would consciously decide to give a game away to another player

The game-winning-sweep in a terminator game is more valuable than the brigadier.
1. you don't lose points to a lower ranked
2. you lose less if the brig kills you in the end assuming he is the highest ranked player

What oftentimes happens in these games is everyone attacks the brig in the first round,
BUT the last one to strike gets the kill...

The best strategical player should never throw a game.
You do what it takes to win, no matter what the rankings of players are...

I should clarify I play NS or Flat Rate Terminator most of the time, not Esc. and usually Trench so sweeps are rare.

The annonimous games wold be interesting..... that would meke games really fun

I'd say that most of the higher ranked playeres, brigadiers and above (some colonels too), got that rank cause they only play a few maps which has a very unique strategy to win, with setting that makes harder for people who are not related to those maps. boring way of playing, they almost never join multis and are afraid to play people with low rank

I'm a player who want to enjoy the game, i play almost every map, and almost every setting (of course i've got my favorites ones), and most of the time i don't care the ranking of the other players (probably that's the reason why i haven't got to brigadier yet, lol..also for playing tons of 1 on 1), i really enjoy the multi games, and most of the times i agree on people uniting to take the stronguer or it would be to late, though i don't agree on completly killing the leader, just bring back the balance..., sometimes it happens against me, in this cases you need to make truce early in the game, or play fog wich really helps (I love to stack behind stacks :)).

As for the points, most people specially high rank players, when no options of winning they suicide to loss the less points posible, Personally i don't like that, i believe most in not letting win someone who doesn't deserve it. But all this depends on the players you are facing
