Honestly I don't like that. All they had to do is talk generic or check my profile. :P But I don't rub it in with 'them'.

But why is the OP complaining about this before actually doing a check/census of who/what the membership here actually is? It might surprise you if you actually asked.

i have a problem with this statement, because you seem to be doing just fine on here... ;) ;) ;) and seriously, "suck it up, cupcake", DETERRED you from CC? yeah, you are all over the forums and you play games... what are your feelings on, "Sorry about your little butt"? you seem think i invented "SUCK IT UP, CUPCAKE", but i didn't. and again, it is not homophobic.

It's not hard to find instances where it is used as a homophobic slur, eg: http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2015/10/06/pe ... er-selfie/

I'm not gay, so it's not an insult to me, but I can see how it might be to others, and the attitude has made me consider my continued involvement with the site. I don't see the other comment as phobic, but just a bit demeaning and, frankly, pathetic. Maybe it's an American thing but I think that there are many better, more helpful and encouraging, ways to express the same view.

Back to the OP: I did overlook one group who are being excluded - the orthodox religious. Certainly Jews, maybe others, who aren't allowed to "strike a spark" on the sabbath and therefore can't take their turns on Friday/Saturday. I believe the idea of a "religious pass" was mooted before, but not taken up, presumably due to being an inconvenience to others.

if you feel so strongly, then put the term in C&A and have the site forbid it, add it to the bigotry guidelines. go ahead and do it, your crusade is becoming tiresome. in other words, put up or shut up. your droning has worn on just about every regular forum goer... good luck!!-JĆ©sus noir

No one in modern China claims that it is communist. The government always throws around the phrase 'socialism with Chinese characteristics', but not many people really think about or care what that means.

Hmm , I know everyone likes to label everything nowdays, but is it really CCs fault on who does and doesn't play on this site, c'mon really,if your a hater looking to pick a fight take it elsewhere, most are here, to enjoy the game I looked at this because Owen had replied, and most of his stuff is interesting, not all of it correct, but interesting.and oh we are allowed to have opinions, just make sure yours has a basis, reason other than hate oriented, solution if you want a variety of players invite people you know or hangout with to play TADA.a perfect solution to a possible problem.

What should be troubling you is your preposterous use of analogies. Fascism and apartheid are not trivial matters. Using them to describe piracy laws and the division of forums into languages makes me wonder whether you know anything about history and question your intelligence in general.

It makes perfect sense to divide the forum by languages. This forum is solely for communication and that is done using language. Regardless of which language(s) you speak, it'd be annoying and unnecessary to have to filter out the post you don't understand. Why do we have sub-forums and threads at all? Why isn't the whole forum just one chaotic thread for all topics and languages? Because it'd suck.

40 posts and an argument between clangfield and owenshooter later and this thread is still shit. We have no idea what the % of straight white males is and it is completely irrelevant. The internet may be the only place where people are actually judged solely for their behaviour. This may be unappealing to some who would rather receive recognition or special treatment for race and gender. Tough shit.

On all available evidence the majority of CC users are bi-sexual. As in buy sex only, being only nerdy enough to turn women off. Not quite nerdy enough to make motza tech dollars and turn women on.

I see no reason why General Discussion, Off Topics and other forums like it should be limited to English only. Doing so pushes away those who speak no or limited English, with no real gain made.

Choosing any other language would alienate even more people though.
Whilst admittedly more actual people in the world have some form of Chinese as their first language, they are very predominantly in China.
The art and purpose of communication is to get the reader or listener to understand what you are trying to convey; more people have a good enough appreciation of the various forms of English for that to be the most likely language to be successful. In most areas it is likely to be the second language if it's not the first; it's also the default language for international communication (apart from a few institutions that give parity to French).
You also have to face the fact that a lot of English speakers don't speak anything else.

I never said a rule requiring English should be replaced with a rule requiring another language.
