What flood of maps are you talking about? There hasn't been a new map introduced in a year and a half.
Are you talking about the flood of maps that were being created back when the site was thriving? It looks like membership peaked around September of 2008. Do you think everyone would come back if we just removed all maps created after that date?
The problem is not too many maps. The problem is that we have a library where all of the items are sorted alphabetically, and there is no index. Who would want to use a library like that?

question, caff : are you one of the "many" here on CC who think no more maps should be made?

I, and others, have posted the same thing several times. There has been no response from management. I don't have much hope that anything is going to improve around here.

The half-dozen people that have posted their hatred for new maps over and over again may seem like "most people", but it's just because they manage to post the same thing over and over until they seem like a crowd. The quiet majority would prefer to have more variety rather than less.

Well done on adding xenophobia into your mix of baiting and trolling mate.
I don't believe there should be no new maps, but I do believe the process should be a lot stricter. Half of the maps we have look like utter shit and they're not particularly old ones in some cases either.

By no response, do you mean they rejected the suggestion or ignored it entirely? If the former, what reason was given?
If they are unwilling to implement a way of sorting maps, at the very least one should be able to flick through them rather than having to open every map individually to look at it.Dukasaur wrote:Would you go to a department store that only carried five products? Not enough of something being bad does not prove that more is always better with no upper limit. Not eating enough food will kill you, can we deduce "the more you eat the better" from that?
All your examples teach us is that not having enough options is bad. That is not the case when it comes to maps on CC.iAmCaffeine wrote:riskllama wrote:how is calling owens' idea stupid, when it is? Which part of his post do you consider xenophobic?

Maybe I just missed something there....

I don't see anything I wrote that could even be misinterpreted in a way that would lead you to the conclusion that I think there is a shortage of maps. You've added, not missed something.
Do you know what xenophobic means?

It's nothing to do with "coffee boy" or any other nicknames I have acquired. I don't need to explain to you.
Nymeria, feel free to PM me when you want to answer my question about your last account. I noticed you stopped posting in the other thread after I asked.
