Blitz Challenges

So from what limited information there is along with messing around on level 1, it looks as if this so called "challenge" is really just a way to buy a red star. Is BW that hard up for cash he has resorted to a bunch of micro-transactions? As far as I can tell so far you can play a level as many times as it takes to win, spending conquer credits to repeat at will.

Looking at josko (solely because he's currently the leader on the board) he made it through the ten levels in eighteen games. Anyone who has played with the bots also knows that bots just do what they want and winning against them can some days be more about luck than strategy which would increase the likely number of games someone would need to win in order to beat the level.

Assuming that these challenges follow the standard rules (again, there is next to no information published about them), since josko has finished the challenge first (it took him about three hours after the challenge started to claim first), does that mean this challenge is already over and there is no real point in continuing to play other than perhaps the interest in a blue star? This challenge is supposed to run for a little over two weeks and as of right now, it looks to be won.

My thoughts exactly. No use playing anymore. Another poorly thought out event. Not even a thread or anything either.

It is the first time speed was used as scoreboard indicator. At least it is better than awarding Red Star to who has more time in hands (Christmas and Valentine event, for instance) but still can be improved in future.

If only starting Time was announced beforehand it would be much better, so that anyone who wants to compete can be ready at the particular time.

I agree here. It seems like old events are just run in cycles with no improvements made.

I'm pretty disappointed because I started the first challenge yesterday evening, got eliminated immediately in round 2 and the damn game is still going (round 30 now). So I don't even have an option to join another using credits.

I had that same issue during the last bot challenge. After reporting it I was basically told it was an issue not worth wham's time to fix. Actually glad to see it's now biting him in the ass to ignore these known bugs.

This "challenge" is pay to play anyway. As long as you're willing to spend the credits you'll win, it will just take a bit longer. My guess is he is testing the waters to see if it's another way he can make money off the site.
