Those long tournaments you mention aren't run by the same group of people.

Olympics by Tribe TD
USA Supertournament by Community team
Great War by community team

So totally unrelated to the championships team. (Tournament directors) not really what "the ring leaders want" it's just different teams doing their thing.

If that team is having hard time you might consider volunteering to help the championships specifically

Creating tourneys for the masses (Low rank) seems the only interest here anymore.
There are no tourneys to appease the higher ranked players.
Most of them wont play tourneys because of the many monkeys who create a clusterfxxx.
Seems only clan games and the rare few games higher ranked players create
are available...... Little Volume = Little Interest

May I suggest you to read again the last Dukasaur's post (mainly last paragraph)? I answered about what is takes to organize and Duke emphasize it furthermore.

Not sure why you are coming back stirring this despite given explanation(s) but using comment whitout spending time to understand those given answers, at this point may I suggest you to start organizing one casual tournament with 32 players, such as simple bracket style, and after it complete, come back into this thread and see if you have a better view on what it takes to create a tournament of this magnitutde (Championship).

Note: I hope my answer will not offend you in any way but it seems like you don't want to understand what we told you and just coming back by adding irrelevant comment, we never said it has been a low priority but more that we are in a standby mode until the Auto Tournament tool is fix and allow to use any game type that is available in the Casual Tournament, the Auto Tournament is managed by admin (coding) and us, Tournament Directors, are using it to create tournament for the community like here, those having "[AT]" in the thread subject.
