St Patricks Day Rip Off

Postby lokisgal on Wed Mar 18, 2015 11:18 am

so being home yesterday I spent hours right til the end to get my 44 clovers to enter the bigger tournament. Woke up today to see you now only need 22 clovers to join it. Fair enough. BUT BUT BUT - I did not get 22 clovers returned to my inventory. Im pretty sure out here in the real world that would be called stealing..

Give the people who spent the time back their extra clovers ffs

Are they good for anything beyond the final tourney?

This is very disappointing and unfair to those who spent time to get the 44 clovers. But, not surprising for cc. I applaud all the new things and events that have been introduced, but the planning has been pitiful. There's nothing worse than an event that changes its rules. But I imagine that no one in charge will answer this anyway.

Because no one has enough time to get 44 clovers in a single day....these new events revolve around those that can spend hours in a single day playing games. Most of us can't.

I can't remember the last time I played in an event because the restrictions were so goddamn tight.

I agree - If they wanted 44 as the number better to run it for a 3 day event to give people time. Same with Valentines and other holiday events. I only got 44 because I was home sick otherwise not a chance to do it

i suggest they have clover pack you can buy.

like say pay 10 bucks for a box of 10 clover stars.

then for 30 bucks you could have enough for the event, plus have 8 clovers left to look at and feel good about.

me neither. what's the point? isn't premium membership enough to join events?

why can't you just say. "Hey, it's st. patties day. i wonder if there is an event going on i can enter
<checks event possibilities, finds one with no requirements for entry>
wow! look at there. here is a st. patties day event that i can enter without jumping through hoops. wow! look at all the other people here having so much fun in the event, i'm sure glad i joined this event"

i mean, it's hard enough these days to fill a game (i hear), why make it impossible for an event?

Actually, there were tons of St. Paddy's day events yesterday that you could enter with no requirements.

Typically the only ones that have big requirements are the final tourneys at the end of these events, which have big prizes and normally require you to have participated in a good number of the other events, which makes sense.

Did you click on the box? Every time I came online I saw five or six things there. I didn't have time to join any of them, but there were plenty there for the joining.

That's not the point being made though. The issue is that for those who did reach 44 clovers, or even more than 22, all those extra ones are being disregarded instead of carried over, which isn't fair.

I understand, and I agree that it isn't fair. I'm just saying that it was likely lowered because next to no one got 44 clovers.

Then why not just lower the number of entrants into the tournament.

Wow. I got ten clovers by ignoring everything. St. Patrick's day came, I looked saw nothing but speed tournaments, and didn't look further. Barring a convenient illness like lokisgal who can play?

I would love to see tournaments, etc., available to those of us who can not play speed tournaments. So, meantime, I have really pretty clovers for sale. These are straight from my inventory untouched by actual effort to get them.

I got ten by not participating as well. On the one day the event was ongoing I had no time for speed games. Why not run the event for two or three days? It's been said many times that one day events don't work.

if they wanted it to be 22 which seems much more reasonable on a weekday when people have to work thats what they should have done
Like I said I was home sick otherwise no way on a work day do I have time to waste chasing things

Statistically, they have worked. The record for games created per day are all held by the 1-day events.

That's not really an argument; just that those days had the most games created. How many of those games were dropped? How many of those games were started by mods?

Our Championship Escalating started that day, so you probably got 3-4 just from that starting.

I know, right. It's like CC doesn't really respect the guy who miraculously removed all the snakes from Ireland. It's almost as if it's a con.
