Map Rank Scoreboard Server


Click on Map Rank Scoreboard Server to see web page where you can view all scoreboards.

You can also get a player scoreboard summary by clicking on their name.
Find a player on the currently viewed scoreboard using the new textbox (Search for a Player in ...)

Latest Score - is the last score from Map Rank.
Highest Score is the highest ever score calculated from the Map Rank Chart Data.

Here's where you come in.

If you don't see someone there or want to update your scores, all you have to do is run Map Rank.
Running Map Rank will automatically update the scoreboard on the Map Rank Scoreboard Server.
Then refresh the scoreboard page (press F5) and you will see an updated scoreboard.

You can add anyone to the scoreboards not just yourself!

You need Map Rank GL version 1.2.2 or later to add people or update latest scores
You need Map Rank GL version 1.2.7 or later to add people or update highest scores

Adding To/Updating Scoreboards:

Overall Scoreboard
Just Map Rank player will do.

All other scoreboards
Use the Game Finder and the Map Rank button at the bottom.
The game finder settings for each scoreboard are shown in the left sidebar.

All Time Highest Scores
This is a page containing all the scoreboards with a top 10 highest ever score for each.
Map rank automatically updates highest scores with each map rank.

Special Scoreboards

Tournaments and any Map scoreboard are standalone scoreboards - no other settings can be combined with these.
Currently special scoreboards only contain the top 50 Map Ranks.
If you Map Rank and don't see an update then it hasn't made the top 50.

good idea for those that are interested in this thing

I guess he's a gimmick player.

he gave me a bad rating because i talked a little trash during a game and my team whupped his in a sequential game. it was ugly.

That's quite interesting, especially as more and more scores are added. Given that I'm substantially in the negative in freestyle games (BRs, goofing off with scott, and a couple of tryout games very early in my CC career), I have high hopes for my eventual place on the escalating scoreboard.

Not sure I made this clear (head post now modified) but you can add anyone to the scoreboards by Map Ranking them, not just yourself!

Right now, I can only see the top 70 or so, and there's no buttons to add anyone. Of course we could just map rank, but not following this link, there's just the scoreboard and the options.

gannable, I'm suuure it's because your team beat his, and not just because you talk smack and you're a lowly major trying to make yourself seem better then the 2nd place on the entire site.

There are two lines of text on each scoreboard with instructions, it's not that difficult. People can add anyone they like, so far 70 or so have been added by users, more to come.
To put a button on the actual page would require me to recode Map Rank in a different language which I don't have time for, just press the Map Rank button instead for now.

Can we please keep this thread for comments on the utility and not about individual players - use GD or Flame Wars please.

None. Load comes from Map Ranking which has already been addressed and sanctioned by the site.

The site will have to do different work altogether, but I understand this is a possibility.
The problem will be the amount of data to be stored in order to maintain the scoreboards.

I guess I asked the wrong question then, since this was what I was looking for. I still think it is a nice utility to have and many have been asking in Suggs & Bugs for something like this. It is too bad though, about the missing game logs, that the actual score and the map rank score will never match up.

Well, the site would have the same problem. Data only exists for the overall scoreboard as it is stored in a running counter. To recreate scores for other scoreboards would be equally impossible for the site. There is no way of retrieving the missing data - I suppose approximation is the only alternative, but for an accurate score, can't be done, we've investigated this already.

I've added player scoreboard summaries now.

If you click on a player name you can see all their rankings on every scoreboard.

I have allowed for maps scoreboards but not planning to expose them before I see how much data is being taken up
by other scoreboards first.

I guess the next scoreboards to show might be number of players or game types.

Just in case, I want to point out that running the Map Rank script automatically updates the scoreboard lists on this Map Rank Server.

I am currently at the top with most sequential points, and at the bottom with most freestyle losses

however...my map rank says i have -3098 on freestyle, and the scoreboard shows -2098

Similar on sequential...it shows 6000 on the scoreboard, but only 5000 or so when i map rank myself

Hmm, I added 1000 to each scoreboard to try and make it look like a real rank (where you start with 1000).

dividedbyzero map ranked my sequential games in teams last month and I was 9778 and if you added the 1000 that we start with I was 10778 sequential score, but the sequential singles brought be to 6757 and then if you added the 1000 we start with my score total overall sequential was 7757, now I am just below 4000 score those darn ass and term medals plus tourneys are killing me ugh
