Although there hasn't been a issue yet, I'm a little concerned that the requirements for teams are not clear, so let me explain again. In the first book, Roland encounters Jake. Jake dies, but Roland goes on to find him again in the second book, along with two new companions to form the ka tet.
That means each team of four that will play together in the second installment needs to include two pairs that played together in round 1.poptartpsycho18 wrote:Sorry to tell ya but Nate already agreed to team up w/ Haggis and me. Now I'm just waiting on a reply from one more person.
So, for example, poptart's proposed team above of Nate, Haggis and Poptart
could work, because Haggis and Poptart both played in bracket 1 together. With Nate on their team,
the fourth member has to also come from Nate's bracket. The only three that I think have not paired (other than Nate) from bracket 2 (Nate's bracket) are coreman, zorbas, and ryall55 (and apparently its not ryall55, cause (s)he's posting here for a partner). Once Poptart forms the ka tet with whichever of corman and zorbas they asked (assuming the offer is accepted), then the last two remaining from bracket 2
will HAVE TO play together on the same team. (One something like that comes to my attention, I''ll try to email the last two so they don't waste time approaching other players from their bracket...)

To give an example of an
ineligible team, the one proposed above by xerro would have a pair from bracket 2 (nate and ryall55), but xerro was in bracket 4 and jackofalltrades was in bracket 1, so the "two pair" rule would not be met. These four could not play together in round 2.
The best place to start I think is to first round up someone from your own bracket that you thought played well in round 1. Once you've paired up, try to find another pair from one of the other brackets. (That's what I personally did at least).
xerro wrote:ok, so me and ryall... anyone else wanna team up with us??? jackey??
By teaming up first with ryall above, xerro is effectively also signing up to be on board with whoever of zorbas and corman does not join the poptart/nate team. That's not a problem in itself, but it's something to keep in mind... the last two players left from a bracket when the other six have paired WILL be put on the smae team. Also, in this case, jack cannot join them, for the same reason mentioned above. The fourth member of the ka tet must come from xerro's bracket (bracket 4).
In case your head is hurting, this is a lot like the LSAT.
I'm happy to answer any questions by PM if this is still confusing... I realize it makes things more complex then perhaps they need to be, but it is all in the spirit of being consistent with the theme of the books. Thanks!
