Even though there are threads for all the various officer levels, they seem to mostly attract team games and longer, more strategic multiplayer games. As someone who likes to play 1v1 real time, I notice that it's really difficult to pick up a decent game in the "Callouts" in live chat, so this is an initiative to give 1v1 dualists another option. And simply joining a game cold is no guaranty that the other person is around, or even wants to play real time.
If you are online and are looking for someone to play a RT match 1v1, you can use the form below and post in this thread to issue a challenge... Hopefully the idea will take off.

Also, if you are reading this thread, you probably have tried using the "Callouts" room in Live Chat. I have and there are usually lots of names and nobody home. I am starting a new Live Chat room called 1v1. To join, simply go to Live Chat and type in "/join 1v1". This would be a good place to use in conjunction with a post to this thread. For example... if you post here that you are looking to play 1v1 Classic Realtime, and indicate you'll be in the 1v1 chat room at noon, then people who want to join your game will have a way to contact you realtime, or to negotiate different game settings, etc. The main reason not to use the "Callouts" chat room is just to give serious RT singles players their own niche to arrange games, but obviously callouts will still be there if you want to use it.
