Conquer Clue Board Game LinkADMIN SEEKING SUPER SLEUTHS TO SOLVE THE CASE! See below for more details
General RulesSign UpIn order to sign up, your Clan must assemble a Team of four Super Sleuths!
Post here with your Clan Name & the four members.
Your team players must be in order, meaning:
Player 1 + Player 2 are dubs team
Player 3 is the one added for trips
Player 4 is the one added for quads
This will be the same teams regardless of the maps, so sign up carefully.
Starting LocationsClan team starting locations will be scrambled using random.org
How to PlayThis game will run a little bit like the board game "Clue", in that there are set options for the killer, the location, and the type of murder - but different in how you collect the clues.
Each turn will take one day, and IcePack will provide you with what you rolled for movement. Clockwise around the board IcePack will move teams one at a time based on the movement rolls they received based on what you tell him where you are going. The 2nd team into a room gets to decide whether the game is dubs, trips, or quads. The game will be played on the settings and map provided on the game board.
You will continue moving your team pawn around the board while games are played out, but you will only get your clues once games complete.
IcePack will send you a link to your teams PRIVATE sleuth cards. You can edit this, and make notes, or ignore it. But it will help you in keeping track of clues that you have received.
Movement RulesS1 will always move first. Movement will go clockwise from there.
On your turn, you will be able to move the number of spaces IcePack has shown for your clan using the yellow squares.
You can move horizontally or vertically, but never diagonally.
You can not enter a space or doorway that you have already entered this turn.
You can move through a doorway to enter a Map Room, but this ends your movement.
You can't move through a yellow space occupied by another Clan, but multiple players can be in the same Map Room.
If you start your turn in a room with a secret passage, you can use the secret passage instead of using your dice roll.
Trap doors have the matching colored double line boxes within the map boards. You may move from one corner to the cooresponding color's location.
You do have to move your movement (you can’t just stay in a room).
***Any conversations or discussions with other clans regarding coordinating movements etc should be made in the public thread here, just like a conversation around the kitchen table would be made for all to hear***
CluesEarn clues by moving your pawn to different maps, and defeat opposing clan teams on that map. The clue cards you win tell you who, what, or where was NOT involved with the crime.
The map & settings are on shown on the Board, and the winner of the game will get a clue card. Clues will be different for each game type (dub / trip / quad) and maps. No trading of cards with other clans is allowed.
Within a single map there are no repeating clues (dub, trip, quad) however, there will be some repeats on the board. Meaning, winning a dubs game on Arms Race will wield one clue, but trips Arms Race will wield another, as will quads. There will never be a repeat of clues within the 3 game types on Arms Race, but a clue earned on Arms Race might be repeated on World 2.1, or WWII Europe, etc.
If you get a clue about a map, it will be the map in which you are currently playing on. However if you've collected all three clues for the map your pawn is on (dub trip and quad) and haven't received a map clue, then that map is the murder location.
Note: Unlike "regular" clue, you will not get to "ask" for a specific clue, you will just earn the clue associated with that map and game type.
WinningA Clan's team of super sleuths, once they have determined the answers (or are ready to make a guess) must make their way to the center "Classic" map. It can be entered from ANY square on any side of the map. Once a second team is in place ready to make a guess, the game will start. The team which wins that game will be eligible to make the first guess (via a PM to IcePack).
If you are correct, you win! If you are wrong, you are out of the game and the game continues.
The losing Clan on Classic does NOT get to make a guess, until a new Clan team enters the Classic area and a new game is started to determine who gets to guess.
CLUE OPTIONSA Brief Description of Clan Directors and their possible motives:IcePack - He's been a bit overworked lately. Maybe it was an accident. Maybe, he had enough.
Maybe, instead it was murder most foul....but by who?
Keefie - Probably the Clan Director who you'd least suspect. But its always the ones you least suspect, right..?
groovysmurf - One of the newest Clan Directors and the only female presence on the team. Was she looking to move up and hoping her feminine charms would save her from suspicion?
davekettering - The other half of the newly added Clan Directors. Its rumored he and IcePack had a disagreement over the privileges process. Perhaps, removing IcePack from the process just made things...
simpler.
Extreme Ways - The Claniversity has taken its toll on everyone, especially Extreme Ways. Its rumored he and IcePack had a disagreement over the shutting down of the program. Extreme Ways and IcePack have been seen off in the corner more then once discussing the subject - things were bound to get heated eventually.
Leehar - The previous Head of Clans has been noticably quiet through this whole ordeal. Perhaps he was just biding his time until he could get IcePack off the team...
permanently.
Methods (aka the Weapon)There are six different murder methods that are possible!
Assassination
Car Accident
Fire
Mugging
Poison
Piano
Map Locations (aka Rooms)There are nine different map locations where the murder could have taken place.
IcePack's day timer had several appointments on his calendar when the
ADMIN found his body. Several of these maps would have been prime places to commit the murder. Search these areas for possible clues to the murder.
