As we complete our 6 years of existance, we want something special for our 7th year.
We are looking for a clan that is prepared to do a friendly marathon.
On the first of each month games would be created with this rules in mind:
  • maximum 20 or minimum 10 games home games-make as much as you wish
  • it can be 20 dubs or trips or quads or any mix you like
  • 3 player max per home and away set
  • maps can be repeated maximum 3 times during the whole year
  • same map cannot be played same month

any takers?

this is general idea, every point is open for discussion

lol you guys don't have enough on your plates with all the competitions taking place??? gl with that, are you trying to beat the record of amount of games in a war? :D
I think TNC vs LOTZ did something over 200 a few years ago.

Do you mean maximum of 3 games for any player? Difficult to fill a quads team with only 3 players :-)
20 quads would be 80 slots, max of 3 appearances would require at least 27 active players, might be a struggle for some.

But it's home choice, and you don't need to do 20.

10 dubs games are 20 slots, requiring just 7 players.
Tho I guess if the other team does all quad your point is still valid...

Yep, not going to make games that you can't fill, but if the other clan does??? Maybe make it a max of 60 slots each month?

It's open for discussion, just need to see if anyone want to do it first
everything can be tweaked

We'd probably go for it but not sure that it does either clan much good if the last 6 months is just going through the motions to get 300-400 games played.

If one clan falls behind in the score after say 200 games there is no incentive to carry on.

Were you to award points in a staggered system for a stage and the score resets it would keep both clans interested.

Every map could be played in say doubles triples and quads making it best of three for that map..... the clan that took 2 of the games or more gets awarded a point therefore it is worth playing the next map.... something along these lines anyway.

That sounds interesting.

Also, even though I know clans want to compete for a win etc and that's the main "inventive", just remember even if you fall behind in a war like this you might be out of reach of a win but potentially you can still earn F400 points with a loss of you out perform expectations.

For example let's say it ends up being 240 games.
If based on your ranks it expects 180-60, and yet you lose 140-100 there's potential to earn points still. Probably not as good as a win but there's still incentive to do well

I read that the F400 formula was based on this formula :
Performance rating = [(Total of opponents' ratings + 400 * (Wins - Losses)) / Games].

Therefore, it seems impossible that by winning a war you could lose point, ergo, that by losing a war you could win points.
I wouldn't mind that you explain how it is possible to lose point when you win a war then.

This is off topic, but I'll make a post in the F400 thread.
