AKA Invitational Cup[3 of 20 teams]

let me start this by saying no offense to higher up clans.

I have been following some of the leagues and ccup for a while now and have decided to run a similar event, but it will be for bottom half of the ladder.(possible 20 clans)
I will take sign ups in the order i get them (by posts in this thread.). If an odd nr of clans sign up play-ins will be used to get it even.nos will be given in order of sign up and random.org will be used for match ups.

show: format

show: forfeits penaltys

show: teams

I think that is enough for now until i see if this is going to be a runner.

I like your idea here in organizing newer/developing clans into a system that promotes growth and competition. Timing is a little poor because the actual Conqueror's cup will begin with play-in rounds starting in March it looks like. I think June-August would be a better time for this (and perhaps you include all clans who lost their play-in round, plus those who lose round 1 of the bracket). It would give those clans a good amount of practice, you could follow the same guidelines as the Cup (which are decided by the CLA now) and everyone gets a chance to advance and play.

well if we could start it earlier like daco said. it would solve the problem of the play in rounds where there is nothing gained in the ccup. using the winners or top seeded of this bottom half to qualify. for the ccup.

Nothing from this will be used for the conqueror's cup. The Ccup allows all clans to join, even those at the bottom as long as they meet the minimum war requirement proving they will actually participate and play their games. The purpose of Ccup is to give every clan an equal chance to start the tournament and win their wars to advance and become the overall winner.

I agree with Lubawski, your best bet may be to wait and see who is eliminated early and then start this with those that are not advancing.

I will provide power rankings in not to long because I believed you asked me by PM for those to help you with this.

I think the Clans in CCup2 and this event could be very different. I'd like to see how this naturally plays out in the clan community.

it might be a good idea to look at the clans in the clan league that are the bottom 2 or 3 ion each division? worth a shot to send out a pm to the leaders.. also look at the newer clans and invite them... clans that haven't the chance to prove themselves just let...

Also consider a name change, this has nothing to do with the main CCup so something like

AKA Invitational Cup

Very good suggestion. Before Chuck went anywhere near forward with the Conqueror's Cup, he had sent messages to a large number of clan leaders to garner support for the idea. When clans see that others are on board, it helps them to jump on as well.

Given NC was been fully joined, I'm going to assume this will not happen.
