Which clan should I join

I don't like team games, I'm not looking for a "social" clan and I don't want to join a clan where I face players that are too much below me in points. (2000+ would be good) Which clan (if any) should I apply to?

ok there are 3 main reasons why players join clans.

1)team games

2) to socialise in the clan pages.

3)to learn and gain more experiance

you wiped 2 of these points out in your opening statement no's 1 and 2. so it looks like clan life is not for you. if you change these 2 contact me if you want.

If you don't like team games, joining a clan is probably not a good idea. Team games are 99.9% of the reason clans exist. The best way to find a clan you would fit in with is to play team games with members of that clan, but if you don't like playing team games that advice is not going to help you much.

Good luck either way

Thanks for the input guys!! There's one option though and that is to create a new clan. But like you said most people join clans for either one of those three reasons so it would be a lot of hard work behind getting enough people to join! And even then it would probably turn out to be a bust so I think I'll pass "clan life" lol.

clans ARE team games. There are a few 1v1 games in some clan wars, but the vast majority of games are team games and you would be expected to play team games in any clan.

A lot of clans only have officers (1600+ points), but I don't think there are any there are any that are 100% 2000+. There's always someone that drops below for a while, or is below most of the time.

What you're looking for is called a Social Usergroup, but they're often not really for socializing. The difference is that you can be in as many Usergroups as you want, because they don't compete against each other, but you can only be in one clan. Many usergroups all they do is play games amongst themselves.
My suggestion is the SSSCE Usergroup - all 2000+ point players that enjoy playing standard, sequential, escalating games

That was more like the sort of "clan" I was thinking of! I might've used the word clan inappropriately and what I really meant was usergroup :) ! One problem though, that usergroup is closed so I can't apply to join! Are there any other similar usergroups where you can apply to join?

Likely all you'll need to do to get in is apply via PM with the usergroup leader.
Failing that you can look in, and post in the callouts forum in the 2000+ sub forum and create/join private games with point requirements.

For SSSCE, post here or PM danryan. Closed just means you can't directly apply through the Control Panel, a leader has to add you.
That's the only one that's 2000+ that I know of, people don't need two groups to accomplish the same thing :)

That usergroup has the following requirements;

* Members should have a minimum rating of 4.6.
* Members should have completed a min 100 SSSCE 6+ player games.
* Minimum major rank will be accepted in social group. Only majors or above ranks can join in group games.

My rating is 4.4 so I fail there, And I've completed only 6 SSSCE type games so I utterly fail there. I am 2000+ though :) , but that's slim comfort when I'm at least 94 games away and even then my rating might've not gone up! My attendance is just 93% which is the reason my rating is poor. So I don't think I have a very big chance at becoming a member! But it's definately a clan/usergroup that I would like to join. too bad I'll have to wait a year to join :( .

This probably should be moved to social usergroups, and yes, the stated aim of SSSCE is to collect the best players on the site of that type of game setting, so it is a little harder to join than most usergroups. I'd recommend playing more public games with those settings, maybe some through the 2000+ callout group here, and raising your rating by getting more positives.

Good luck!

ya, unfortunately you're going to run into problems with those numbers in any usergroup or clan that tries to get only the best players. Even if there was another 2000+ singles usergroup, they'd probably have requirements for turns taken and/or ratings, so the only thing I can say is try to start a new one? Not sure how much interest you'd get though since SSSCE already exists

None. If you don't like team games, competitive clans are not for you. Competitive clans are all about team games. Nothing else.
