Yeah I've wondered the same. I have personally never noticed any of my beta maps changing mid-game. I think there are some pretty good beta maps out there- and I like to keep the requirements as open as possible. So beta is a risk I'm willing to take.

If you knew Gabe, you would know he was a very sweet and humble player. If was a close match-up with 2 wins apiece, and I'm sure that third game could have gone either way.
