I'm not sure I follow. If you beat someone and kidnap you still get the +1 if that's what you're asking?

You get Fame for every lord in your House. Do you get that Fame if they are kidnapped?

However, if that spot is adjacent to one of House X's castle/cities/watchtowers meaning House X knows the rival Lord is there, is the ambush mitigated? Or, since the House X Lord can't see the House Y Lord himself, is the ambush is still on?
Q: What happens when you lose to an "inactive clan's" castle?
A: I (IcePack) will roll a 1d10 to determine what happens with the losing Lord.
1-3: Execute
4-6: Ransom
7-9: Kidnap
10: Release

I asked this before and I think it all has to do with who has first turn as to how it plays out.

Yep, I'll try to come up with something to clarify ambushes. That seems to be the area msot confusing people.

I actually understand the whole initiative thing and how it pertains to ambushes. That is not my question.
The question is whether an ambush situation even exists if House X's castle/city/watchtower can see House Y's lord even though House X's lord cannot see the House Y lord and moves into his square. Would it then be treated as a direct attack/diplomacy situation since the castle/city/wt can see him or would it remain an ambush situation (defaults depending) sicne the House X Lord could not see House Y?

Gotcha, this came up I want to say around Turn ~15 (dont quote me). Ultimately, while the argument exists that the Lord himself doesn't know the lords location I've assumed that if your House knows of the lords location 100% (IE there is no question of it being elsewhere) then it would not be considered a ambush.
So if you have House Y Lord next to House X's castle, and theres a Lord diagonal from House Y Lord who normally wouldn't see him he can still direct attack because his House sees that Lord from their Castle (the assumption being, they communicated the Lords location here).
Its a fine line. And no, telling your ally of a Lords location to avoid an ambush that they wouldn't normally see is not going to fly even though I understand the arugment matches the thinking of communicating above. Thats where the very fine line will be drawn Your personal House must know of that Lords location through Castle / City / WT in order to avoid the ambush penalty.

And I want a submarine so that I can torpedo your ship!
IcePack wrote:Still working on the update unfortunately. Going to try to push through tonight, but it might take an extra day with all the movements and questions / diplo involved here. I think I will probably get the main documents all updated tonight, but will likely take me tomorrow to update all the public sheets and get out PM's.
