I'd love to play, but it looks like we won't be able to reach 12 players to participate. Seems I am not persuasive enough

josko.ri wrote:I think it never state in the OP minimal number of players. I come with 10 because 10*4 = 40 if everyone will play maximal 4 sets. And one player who will play 41st tie break game is allowed to play in 5 sets.

it said 12, it was copy paste from 1v1
The purpose here is to show the depth of a clan rather than merely that there are 1 or 2 stud players in it. With this in mind, each clan must provide at least 10 different participants for a war, with each participant playing a maximum of 4 series out of the 40 (2 home and 2 away). Clans can negotiate to lift the 2 + 2 limit where one player can play all 4 series home or away. 41st Game series does NOT count towards playerās game series total. Player cannot repeat

No it doesn't, this is copy paste from rules:The purpose here is to show the depth of a clan rather than merely that there are 1 or 2 stud players in it. PLAYER RESTRICTIONS & ELIGIBILITY

annoying and wrong, it was copy pasted from original 1v1 thread, this was edited later

uckucki, I have one questions concerning that :PLAYER RESTRICTIONS & ELIGIBILITY
The purpose here is to show the depth of a clan rather than merely that there are 1 or 2 stud players in it. Why limiting it to 2 home and 2 away and not only 4 games for a war, allowing some players to play 4 homes and some to play 4 away ? I understand I can negotiate this with the opponent, but I don't see the point of this rule in the first place.
Any chance you remove it ?
I think it is good rule to show depth of a clan. If clan has depth then it will have players who can at the same time play home and away. In contrary, if clan has no depth then it will have for example someone who is specialist for several maps and know to play only those while will not have overall depth to play both home and away sets. I like variety rather than being specialists on particular maps.
Donelladan wrote:josko.ri, you didn't read carefully benga post. He said it was edited. So it is not anymore visible in the OP, because the first post have been edited and this restriction from 12 players have been removed. That's what benga is saying. He also agree that at the moment this restriction does not exist.I think it is good rule to show depth of a clan. If one player play 4 home set, he need to be able to play on 12 different maps.
If 2 players play 2 home set, they can repeat all the same maps, making it only 6 different maps. So I actually think allowing people to play 4 home shows the depth of a clan as well.
With the current rules if I have 20 players, I could actually make all home game using only 3 maps.
Therefore I still don't see the point of the rule.
Would it bother you if this rule was removed ?
I just want to flexibility.

Thank you for the reminder and we discussed it at TOP but decided that we would prefer the usual clan war , not POLY.
Good luck in the tournament.
