@1-1-3: When I saw your comment, I thought content will be something related that current result (11-13) is similar to your name.

TNC showed as much better clan than what their rank would imply.

They did not show it only here, if you look at their CL6 results, you will see that they are also doing well there.

Also, we had so many retirements since CC4. You were in clan who was in similar situation, so you know the best how hard is to manage massive retirements after achieving great results and making people satisfied with past achievements. You know that in case when your ex-clan was in similar situation (although your satisfaction was only winning Cup-CC3, not Cup-CC4 and League-CL5 at the same time like in KORT's case) it led to withdrawing from CL5, so I am proud that my clan under similar circumstances did not withdrew from any competition, but was regularly playing although it was obvious that our results will decrease due to massive retirements. But we play this game for fun, which includes fun both when results are shiny and when results are mediocre, so we are allowing that other clans have shot on us not only when we are shining but also when we are in harder situation.

I only stayed like 8 month in TOFU is that is what you are refering as my ex clan, the timing of what you are describing is not something I witnessed playing for TOFU (although they had lots of big names that retired after the CC3). I just played 2 rounds of CC4 with them.
In fact... I was on the opposite side during the CC3.
We had massive retirements late 2012 within the pack (where is tayed over 2 years), so I know what you mean. We only lost by a close score against tofu in the CC3, then didn't play any war for like 6 month, then faced TNC in a casual war... and TNC managed to beat pack! So I know these guys can do great stuff. The only 2 war defeats I've had in my clan career so far, and they were back to back.

may I ask who retired?

But yes, I was very surprised by your CL6 results, then I just saw this score update

I just checked, and yes you joined 2 months ater their withdrawing so you were not direct witness of the decision.
However, you were witness of PACK not playing in both Clan League and CCup during their hard commitment days, so you know the best how is it about to deal with massive retirements. PACK has never come back to be top clan after massive retirements while TOFU withdrew from CL5 after their massive retirements, so I am proud that KORT continue to normally participate in both competitions even though our results are now lower.

We are more like Roger Federer, giving shot on ourselves to others even when our form is on downside and when our commitment is hard to manage, rather than like Pete Sampras, who withdrew from further competitions after winning US Open, rather than giving to others opportunity to play versus him even when his form will go downside.

There are many retired ones, it is not hard to find it if you are really interested by just map ranking our recent games.

TNC seems to be kryptonite for top clans ;)

Well pack did make kind of a come back after my departure and their merger with afos's best players. I think they went back up to number 3 but I m not sure. Their defeat against us (lhdd) in the cc5 seems to have brought a new wave of massive retirements.. So basically pack is now 90% ex afos aparently.
Anyway this is far from lost, i remember last year, it looked like kort would lose vs OSA in the cc4 and you pulled a great 3rd set to win. (Or was that 2 years ago?)

So who is the current best clan? Looks like ACE to me.

With my statement that PACK have never actually come back after initial retirements was backed up by the fact that they did not have any noticeable wins since then, even with merger with AFOS. Since then, there was the loss vs TNC, and what else? Loss vs LHDD, so the merged with AFOS players did not really make the to come back to top. Their number 3 rankings was due to old famous results and the fact that they were inactive in wars, so old famous results still held them as seemingly number 3.
According to F400 and F41, KORT is #1 clan ;)
Isn't it unfair to call others #1 while we are still undefeated holders of both CL5 and CC4 thrones, with still chances in both competitions to defend the title? And the clan you are calling #1 has zero major titles so far.

After losing vs TNC, pack Won against OSA, LHDD, G1, LOW, then in cc5 they beat AQOH on round 1, then lost against LHDD round 2. So no, after losing vs TNC And merging with AFOS they did have a very good year and a half with only victories, as you know victories that are over 2 years old are not counted anymore in the ranking, so very old battles are irrelevant.

While you still have a chance in this CC5 format, i guarantee that in the CL6 with kort has no chance to finish second. You are just fighting for third place at best. You have already lost 5/12 matches in the first 6 rounds while ace and tofu have lost none. So yeah, you re more like roger federer with an injury (departures) and it s a bit foolish in this conditions not to admit that you are you guys have chances to win the league again.

Seems he was referring to who seems to be in the best form at this particular moment in time, not who has been the best clan over the past year or 2(i.e. the rankings).

exactly. Not talking about titles, ranking and all that stuff... cause in that area we agree that kort is the best clan in cc's history. I was asking who is the toughest clan in the past few month, and my take is that ACE probably is, TOFU being a close second.

Isn't it unfair to call others #1 while we are still undefeated holders of both CL5 and CC4 thrones, with still chances in both competitions to defend the title? And the clan you are calling #1 has zero major titles so far.

Well, KORT has always played the best when it is the hardest and have always raised our form as competitions were coming closer to the end. Look at CC4 for example, the closest opponent to beat us was OSA whom we beat 34-27, with lower margin than TSM or TOFU, who were both much higher ranked than OSA. If you look further in the past and our starts in past CCups, KORT started it with 29-12 vs AKA (CC4), 27-14 vs LOTZ (CC3), 24-17 vs G1 (CC2), 32-16 vs G1 (CC1) which are all results far worse than starts in CCups by other top clans who were beating their first opponents by much higher margins. The reason is also logical, as KORT has almost never had off-season for recruitment and for reorganizing roles in our clan, we always needed to do that simultaneously with competitions, so while we were doing that (usually at the beginning of new seasons) then of course our results were lower for a while. But that doesn't mean that we gave up our current hard deserved titles, and that we will not defend them. We are giving shot at us to others even when our form is not at its peak ;)
