CCXI uses December rankings for seeding so this won't have even an effect on that, will be interesting to see how it affects 7th through 10th.

Yeah well, the December rankings were posted on the 6th of December, and the war was marked as closed on the 5th, but i believe the last game ended about a week before... I missed that at the time, so not sure how this would have affected it then.
On the 4th actually, so if December rankings take the games just up until the start of December then that would be ok. Not sure how/when they are being calculated

The December ranking would count all finished wars up to 30th November.

It functions like tennis I do believe, you don't win a couple matches against the best players and expect to be ranked at the top. Example, you could play five matches all year against players 1-5, win them all and you'd still be ranked 324th or whatever. You gotta play the circuit, grind out some tough wins (in this case, accept the game loads and win them). Look how many more "matches" they play than you. Gotta put yourselves on the line more often. That isn't a shot btw, that's just how it appears.

Its not that strange, its overall performance based not a leap ladder. When you beat them, you gets points just like anything else. When they beat others, they get points based on the relative performance. They've earned more elsewhere to make up for those losses against you. If you want a ranking that takes into account your wins more directly, resurrect the leap ladder.

I mean, I can't imagine being in the CL SD repeatedly is good for your ranking either, especially with results like this: TOFU KNT 9 7 26 12 20
I'm sure that result doesn't help, but we've been in the second division once in my six years in TOFU so I'm not sure where you get "repeatedly" from. Our presence in 2nd division wasn't because we got relegated. It was because we skipped a year of participation. I have confidence we will move up.

Maybe I'm mis-remembering but I thought you had another stint where you were in SD due to skipping a year. If I'm wrong, my apologies. But yeah, I dont doubt you will be promoted lol but the skipping a year and getting results like that hurts your ranking more then a sub par CL PD year would have, most likely.

We did, but that was before my time.
Just checked, my bad. It was LHDD that did a double stint 2015 & 2019.

Your ranking is made up of your results from past 2 years. And it's linearly weighted such that the weight of each war decays towards 0 at 2 years past. So any wins before 1/1/19 don't directly impact your current score. Below is all of TOFU's results that are counted in the current rankings. The % is how much of your total score comes form that single war result.
Note that even though only your clans results from the past 2 years directly make up your score, actually all wars from all clans since the very beginning indirectly make up every single score calculation.

That's def a big part. That particular result has a score of approx 975 for TOFU. Even the 14-2 BOB win only has a score of around 1000.

Eh, not really. You play 1 war and beat the top clan, you will have a score higher than that clan was. But you're weight would be too low unless that war was over 150 games.
Is it possible for ICON to jump ahead of S&M if they beat FOED badly enough in CC11? If yes, exactly how badly do they need to beat them? The possibilities are very exciting!
josko.ri wrote:I am excited to see S&M siting at the top for second month in a row already!
And most likely will stay there for a while unless you mess up in CC. You're a very strong bunch at the moment, I doubt you'll lose the spot before the finals.

Surely not?
For what it's worth, we're going to win 8-0 / 7-1 home and 5-3 away.
You went up almost 50 points after beating ATL by 5 games. We had about 20 points on you at that time. FOED is up 10 right now so it is similar, although I suspect you'll be above them after the results of your CL match up is in.
Still, though, your two closely ranked clans and if you decimate them in CC11, with say around a 20 game difference, could you gain 150 points? I am not sure how the formula works but you got almost 50 beating ATL by 5 games.
Also note, your weight is still fairly low, I believe that lower weight allows for bigger jumps in the rankings, both up and down.
