Capped Cards

Create a new feature called something like "Card Caps"
-- Put a limited amount of cards in a game...
A. Map capacity (number of regions on a map)
B. Limited amount (100,200,300)

At a certain point in the game, the cards run out... (basically making the game a no spoils game)

It would certainly change the ebb and flow of the game...

Benefits:
Create a new exciting kind of game
Could potentially end all the stalemates in trench games

lol. I was just recently involved in a 4 player trench no spoils game that turned into a 4 way stalemate.

Suggest an amendment: rather than a blanket 'spoils turns to no spoils', after a certain round number the spoils setting randomly regenerates every 5 rounds.

maybe interchangeable spoils.. make everything nukes lol

And vice versa, in a NS/Flat rate game, from a certain number of rounds, turn to Escalating.

That can fix stalemate

I think what we are really looking for here is a way to change the settings mid-game... which I do not think will be in our foreseeable future

Concerning the escalating trench setting, I think what we should do is reverse the way the card increment after 100.
The new system for card increment after 100 is perfect for no-trench game, but it completely destroyed the combination trench + escalating which was working relatively fine before, because a simple increment of 5 for the card wouldn't stop someone advancing with bigger bonus. While now spoils are so high that bonus became completely irrevelant once the spoils reach 100.
