I would like to suggest that players be charged more for premium when they are ranked less than 4.0. The reasons I think this is a good idea are:

1. the ranking system really means nothing right now because there are no consequences for being rude and just not an enjoyable opponent.
2. its hard for your rank to fall bellow 4.0 unless you are constantly a menace.
3. this would give incentive for people to get their act together.
4. the extra cash flow could be used to improve the site.

what does this have to do with their game play? so now you want ranking to include something arbitrary like how people felt about playing against an opponent? how about people that give low ratings because their opponent doesn't talk in chat? i think it is a horrible idea to penalize someone over how others feel about the way they play or interact within a game... especially monetarily... please show me any other gaming community that does this, how they do it and how it has not negatively affected their user base... what a great idea to start charging the people that PAY to play here, because someone doesn't like how they play. when the numbers are dropping here, this is not even an idea worth contemplating... the black jesus has shut this down...-Bj

They'll do that once they start charging for useless/senseless/off topic posts, games with deadbeats, and anything against the rules. Which will never happen. IAKTU has spoken, and shut down this useless, off topic suggestion. -iaktu

I see where you are going with this, wanting people to have good a reason to be nice, but unfortunately, I do think the owen here made a few points that make some sense. But honestly, to get under 4.0 you have to be just an awful person to play with...
But the fact that you can play 0 games and have only a few people rate you, and the ones that did rate poorly... now you can't get premium because of a few players opinion, or you still can buy just at an increased rate. Also, would brand new players still be charged normal? Or the increased rate with essentially a rating of '0'?

my suggestion really would just target the player with 100s, 1000s and sometimes ever 10,000 plus games and being a menace in nearly every single game

I can just see people giving poor reviews against people they argue with in the forums, or they just don't like, (either because of racism, homophobia, where they live, etc) just to screw them over. Sounds like you are trying to push more members away from the site. People will drop to freemium (which does NOT generate income) or they will leave.

1 - it's called FOE and move on.

2 - Ratings abuse comes to mind from people that can't take losing and systematically give poor reviews because they are a poor sport.

3 - If they are not breaking a site rule with their "act", nothing can/will be done.

4 - LOL. Seriousness is not your forte is it?

The site is already hurting for membership. This is NOT the answer to bringing people here and getting them to "pay and stay".
