No, I feel the same way to a degree. I mean, the "4 game a month" restriction would be reasonable if it was access to all maps on speed, but I don't see why classic isn't open to all free users in less restricted way. Obviously you need some sort of limit. To get rid of it altogether was bad, but maybe the admin sees something we don't. We want to keep them, right? If people are going to buy premium, they will buy it. If they are not, they won't. I will usually hang around a site for a while before I buy into it.

When it comes to polymorphic, free members ask "what is it and why would I want it?" There is no incentive to want to play hidden features when they have never experienced it.

Like here I played for a year '09 -'10 as a student with no money. I came back in Nov '12 and bought premium but it was because I was bored and I wanted to play more than 4 games at a time, not to gain access to anything else that I had never experienced.

Give them something, just not enough to prevent them ever getting premium membership

Just a thought on this one: If the threshold for free trial premium was set to 25 finished games, that would mean one must play that many to get it. I don't think someone would stick a month and play 25 games (with only 4 at a time) and then use 3 (or more) days of free premium, just to create another account and repeat the long process.

Giving all non-premiums access to speed and poly on Classic would just create a ton of new games, and those who didn't think of buying Premium will get to play how many they want. Rule of 10 per day might work, but that also encourages them to create multis and have more then 10 speed games per day.

And, after 25 finished games, you have some rank already, and you don't want to lose that.

It's either give all players all features on Classic, including unlimited speed games, or set the threshold so high that no one wants to lose his account and start over.
