Can we have an "offer draw" button?
Any player still in the game has the right to offer a draw.
If all other players still in the game accept the offer, the games is over, victory points are calculated based on who has been knocked out/left in, and are shared equally (or weighted by rank as usual?) between the survivors.
If any player declines the offer the game continues as normal.

Other suggestions to break a stalemate:

(i) A button to double the value of bonuses or spoils (and I know that you could just enter games with escalating spoils, but I find flat rate spoil games are more interesting, unless they turn into a stalemate); or
(ii) Less seriously, a random nuke button.

Increasing the spoils by 5x or even possibly 10x might not even solve stalemates. 2x wouldn't do anything. Escalating games are where stalemates typically develop, anyways.

This depends on the map I think - in my experince big maps (world 2.1, hive) go to stalemate with escalators, small maps go to stalemate with flat rate/no spoils. Bit off topic, but what the hell...

but rek's idea of random nukes would break a stalemate for sure!

interesting sugestion, i think that these can work, but with limitations.
minimum player 3 (when drop to two, then draw its disabled)
minimum rounds 50 (in round 50 draw button are activated).

There are a lot of suggestion for eliminate stalemates. I think we should organize them, put them in a topic and make a poll

We already have a button to prevent stale mates. It is called the attack button.

Stale mates happen, but I don't think they happen that often. I have been in a few but somebody usually doesn't have the patience and uses the attack button.

it depends. How good player you are. With how much good players you play. How do you care about the game. For example if you do not care you will press assault even if you know that this is not a good strategy...

For example Kiron is playing 2 out of 4 games a stalemate at the time.
I play 1 out of 4 and in an other game in order to make the game move on we have written pages of diplomacy, I have made more tan 10 different truces, I have made coordinates attacks against the weaker players, someone threaten me that he will brake a truce and suicide on me and the game is still a stalemate... (we need to team up again in order to make the game move on)

In escalating games the solution is very easy. In my opinion it is completely wrong that the spoils continue to increase 5 troops every time. There should be a second point in which they start to increase faster.

At the start they increase 2 troops (4,6,8,10,12)
then 3 (12,15)
then 5 (15 20 25 etc)

there should be a second and even a third point. For example at the 100 and 500 and they should be

90,95,100,120,140,160,180,200 etc

and then 480,500,550,600,650 etc

I can not found a disadvantage at that other than it might be a big change.

Start a different thread about this then, and see it if goes anywhere.

You are asking for an overhaul of the Escalating card system with what you asked. That is completely different from this suggestion of a Draw.

Ok then. One last question.
I found that idea in a previous topic long ago.
There was lot of funs and I do not know why it was rejected. Should I make a new suggestion?

If you feel that the Escalating cards should be changed from 4,6,8,10,12,15,20,25....95,100,105 to

90,95,100,120,140,160,180,200 etc

and then 480,500,550,600,650 etc

Then yes, open up a new suggestion.

Any player still in the game has the right to offer a draw.
If all other players still in the game accept the offer, the games is over, victory points are calculated based on who has been knocked out/left in, and are shared equally (or weighted by rank as usual?) between the survivors.
If any player declines the offer the game continues as normal.

This has been rejected many times before. Would make it easier for 2 players in a game to team up, knock out a player, and take the draw to share the points.

An easy fix to that abuse is to award no points for a draw.

I'm not advocating it. I'm just saying that TFO should pick a better reason.

Why you keep talking about that? We said the offer button be available only when there are 3 or more players alive. Isn't that a good solution???

well if you add draw button to be activated after 50 or 100 rounds, then i dont see how can people have benefit to team up against one players, also like all ready sugested, when two player eliminate third, the draw buton become disabled, because its will only efective with minimum 3rd player. Also for draw minimum player need to be 4, because if you have game with 3 players, they will not have nothing to share.
So 100 rounds, and minimum 3 player to left-these could be accepted.

Except one that involves killing everyone else to win.
A draw button could be abused. Say there are 4 high rankers and 4 low rankers in a game. 8 man standard, the four low ranks team up and kill the four high ranks and then call a draw. Doing so nets them each a lot of points.
