Encourage membership

Postby degaston on Sat Nov 08, 2014 10:13 am

Concise description:
  • When a freemium player attempts to join a speed or poly game, or a 5th game, instead of reporting that an error occurred, it should tell them that it is restricted, and offer them a way to purchase premium.

Specifics/Details:
  • Currently, if a freemium player attempts to do something that is not allowed, they see something like:

  • This is a textbook example of an unfriendly user interface. Much better would be something like:
    Image

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • In the forum recently, someone said they intended to purchase premium, but gave up when they couldn't find it.
  • Maybe this is not a common problem, but is there any downside to making it as easy as possible to purchase your product?

maybe to encourage memberships, there should be some sort of referal program too.
Let's say you are a freemium and you manage to get a friend to join CC; you could get a 5th game slot for a few month +X amount of speed and polymorphic games. Of course, there should be an IP check before giving away the bonus to avoid encouraging multis, and the friend's acoount should play X amount of games before the person who made him join CC gets his prize.
freemiums are kind of desperate to play more games than what they actually can, so they would probably find motivation to get friends to play and get a reward.

GREAT IDEA!!!

=D> =D> =D>

To ramp it up even further - How about- MERRY XMAS from CONQUERCLUB---- one month free membership for freemium , 3 month free extension to Premium( if your Premium would expire in Februry extended to June?) for all those part of CC as of December 25?

Minor admin and marketing costs,no lost membership revenue, (freemium are not payign now) y, Premiums have already paid- shoudl be membership revenue increase as freeium with one month free go Premium, Premiums stay on Cc rather than dropping out or becoming Freemium.

Tremendous increase in games (tournaments? bots? speed?) some increase in Forum posts??And see how the numbers move January February, March??

probably should be a separate suggestion-
