Re: withdraw from combat

I might of been too convoluted in my Original post.

Original post edited:
1) Allowing the Defender to pull his surviving forces back, giving up the contested territ.
2) Allowing the attacker to withdraw from Combat before losing all his units while using the Auto assault button.

Defending Army has the option to withdraw once his force size reaches a designated (by controlling player) number.
Attacking Army, having the option to withdraw (stop assaulting) from Combat once his army size reaches designated number.

Allowing players to drop a number onto the Auto assault button; this number would represent the force reduction an individual army has to lose before that army can withdraw from battle.
Defending Army would automatically retreat to adjacent terit that has the largest amount of friendly units, ties would be sent to random adjacent friendly controlled terit.

Allowing (or not) the assault (Non-auto assault) button to be used in preventing defender withdrawing from combat.

This might give the game of Risk a different feel, possibly making it feel like a real War game?
Regardless of the defender withdrawing from battle, I think you should give the attacker the option to withdraw from combat.

P.S. Optional: Defending Army will retreat before battle ends, thereby leaving one unit behind, allowing Attacker the choice; attack for control or leave control to the defender.

What are you talking about seriously?? Retreat where?? Where do you decide the retreating armies end up? So if i make several attacks on you and you keep retreating automatically i lower your territory count and i increase mine super easy. What is the interest of such thing? If i really want to hit your stack at some point you will have nowhere to run. Do you even stop for a minute and think before you push out your next mental diarrhea?

You mean by not attacking anymore? This is already how the game works.

I don't know that your laziness justifies the amount of coding necessary to add this.

As mentioned earlier Semi-Auto Assault has already been submitted, which cover the attacking portion of this suggestion.

Your ideas are interesting, but unfortunately they are too daring to find appreciation. One mistake is that, as the moderator has already implied, you have two different suggestions in the same topic. A technical one (restriction to auto-assault), which does not change the basic strategy (except from some occasional freestyle situations) and a purely fundamental one (defender's retreat)

looks like CC might implement a semi auto assault (finally).
With Conqueror Club constantly developing new options and advanced maps, I ''know'' Defender withdrawal will become a reality.
It only took six years (after original post) for the semi auto assault button to be submitted.
Might be another six years before semi auto assault button becomes a reality...better late then never.
