some new medal ideas

Postby krallam on Thu Feb 20, 2014 1:46 am

Concise description:
new medals/medal "themes"

Specifics/Details:
  • a WWII medal for x victories on WWII themed maps, maybe a poppie?
  • an admirals' medal for naval maps
  • a "fleur de lis" medal for x victories on france related maps or a maple leaf for canadian maps
i could go on, but that should be enough to get the ball of discussion rolling...
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • because people like to collect shiny things and display their achievments

Adding medals for the sake of adding medals is not what the site generally does.

These sound like ideal candidates for tournaments.

You have been awarded an Electric green star for no apparent reason.
Hhhhmmm let's see, (the year 2012-2013) many people have reached gold status. Add Platinum as the new color to reach for medals. Seems this site does add medals to spark new interest.

I say +1 for Maple Leaf medal for 100 + Canadian victories. And other symbols for maps associated with a country. Sounds fun.

They didn't add NEW medals though. They simply gave the existing medals a higher level to reach because many people already had gold.
