Now, I’m not going to suggest a phone call to “player x’s” house, I’m not going to suggest an accept the game has started button, and I’m not going to suggest a 10 minute first turn, as nice as those things sound. I’ve been getting good at thinking out loud, so here are my kind of opinions on what would be a kind of resolution for players like me:
(Considerations being made are for speed games only)
1. Give us a speed game page that you guys can update and improve upon.
2. Give us a 5-min warning when all players have joined, such that for any speed game we have 5 minutes before it starts, etc. Nothing to do with players possibly dropping the game, (maybe this goes with my other suggestion on finding a way to make the map foggy when it’s not our turn). The feature could be enabled for players who need a safety net, as I do, and shown when joining that there is or is not a protection for 5minute warning.
3. Give us a wall message when speed game message was missed, or a notification when you have missed a turn.
Now I am not the expert on wiring the system. I am however getting points stolen from me because somehow I lose the page with the 1v1 speeder there and then I lose the game without any formal warning or notification…

Actual Benefits: Less wasted points on the site overall less angry players, more people making games that have a low probability of being joined quickly and remembered by the host maker....
