As I do not know if privately posting this would be easier in the game log or the game chat, I will assume from here that any postings would take place in the game chat as private or team chat. This could be implemented in either and this suggestion is for either.
Concise description:
Private or team chat of the game log is sent to players or teams that had a territory taken in Rd 1 of a fog game. This would only apply to any player or team that does not play the opening turn in a fog game. And would also only apply to a player or team that lost a territory. Not to give away any neutrals taken or other players/teams.
Specifics/Details:
Let's get some nomenclature identified before attempting to describe this. Since we have so many players and teams now, I will identify the first player or team to go as Player/Team A. The second, third, fourth, etc, player/team will be called Player/Team N. In round 1 of any fog game, Player/Team A makes the opening turn. In the chat if Player/Team N had a territory taken they are sent a private/team log of what was taken. This keeps what was taken known to the party interested instead of the entire player list of the game.
Also for example a 12 player game where Player/Team N is 12th/3rd/4th/6th to play. Each territory lost by Player/Team N would be privately posted until Player/Team N takes a turn.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
Fog rules or previous agreements have up to this point been the only solution to this debacle. This to me seems to be the fix for fog rules. It does not change the fog game strategy for the teams that missed the map. It does change the strategy for those that join last and go before anyone else can see the map. I have done this many times and it has been done to me as well.
