Second, I really wanted to do a map of the Galapagos, but I suck a graphics .
A suggestion: maybe have some sort of a bonus for holding a certain number of islands? Like 2 islands= +1, 3 islands = +2, or something along those lines.
d.gishman wrote:Oh, I thought you were referring to the Galapagos giant tortoise, which inhabits all of the islands. marine turtles are everywhere, but giant tortoises are unique to the galapagos.

kinda confused though...one example. How does Lugger Wolwin connect with the other part of the map? luggers can't all connect because then you'd border everyone at the start.
Yes the colours are supposed to blend in quite a bit.I love the look, but the colours blend in quite a bit. I mean it's the ocean/reef so it's supposed to but at the same time, I'd like it more if it didn't since this is a game afterall.

edbeard wrote:For the colours, maybe make those territory borders a bit sharper. I think this would help a lot. In quite a few places I have trouble seeing them end.
I have a gameplay comment too.
So the best bonus to go for to start is probably the lugger.
I start with a reef and get that lugger. Next turn I get my regular 3 +2 for the lugger and +3 for the snorkel and lugger = +8
Reef five can do this with two kills T1 then Lugger.
Now, next turn I take those armies and go after someone else. I kill him. Chances of this happening in a six player game say...Well probably a lot higher than we want.
Now, I feel a bit bad because at the moment I'm not quite sure of a way to 'fix' this. I'll ponder it a bit but I'm sure you will consider this as well.

I haven't had a proper look at gameplay, so can't really comment on that at the moment, but I do like the look of this map - you seem to have an aesthetic eye!
Just a couple of things I noticed:
1. Reef 7 needs to have the same 'white' appearance as the other reefs.
2. The heads and legs of the Giant Tortoises are quite hard to see, which makes them look like blobs.
3. The territory off Espanola is labelled E3, but there is no E1 or E2...
That's it for now.
PS How do you make your maps look so good??
Probably this weekend Coleman, I have changed the tortoises and am wokring on the borders between the terts along with the reefs.Coleman wrote:When will we be seeing another version? I'm excited for this one.
