In the game we won...we had NO idea any of the victory conditions were being held by anyone..we suspected one team had it, but it turned out to be the other weaker team. We won so all my whining should go by the wayside. But Paris is just TOO FAR North, and once we all get used to it, it will become one of those maps that only a few play because a few players can win it in no time.

I currently hold Paris and the Suburbs plus all foreign claims and 2 regional claims (Seine-Maritime and Euro), which I have held for one full round. Shouldn't I have won?
Donelladan wrote:Seine Maritime and Eure et Loire aren't the regional claim. You also need Manche, Calvados and Orne to have this regional claim.
To hold a regional claim you need to have all regions with the same flag on them.
Lancelot du Lac wrote:Hello,
We did some updating on the xml. We have already the stamp for the xml, but after a few polls, we needed some corrections. The gameplay is changed.
The updates are :
1. Name of the suburbs
Suburbs 2 > Suburbs 92
Suburbs 3 > Suburbs 94
Suburbs 4 > Suburbs 93
Borders of :
Pyrénées-Atlantiques > add Pays-Basque territory border
Pyrénées-Orientales > add Catalogne territory border
Alpes-Maritimes > add Monaco territory border
Jura > add Jura Suisse territory border
Nord > add Wallonie territory border
The graphics have been updated in the first post. The xml have been changed here : http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=163962&p=4566115#p4566115

iancanton wrote:at the moment, if holding a région, iancanton received 2 troops for holding PIC or iancanton received 5 troops for holding PRO does not sound very french. it will add to the gallic atmosphere of the game and increase the enjoyment of those who are not french if u amend the xml (using a simple find-and-replace) to show PIC Picardie instead of PIC, PRO Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur instead of PRO and so on. recognising that many people are unfamiliar with american state abbreviations, the usa 2.1 map does something similar.

robellis00 wrote:Greetings. After playing this map, here is my personal feedback. It seems like there are too many avenues of attack/too much access to Corsica. Having fewer lanes, even 1 fewer lane, might make it more interesting.
Also, I found it kind of frustrating that some of the regional claims required 5 flags (BZH) while others only required 1 (Belfort). It didn't seem to make sense why there was a difference, but the same reward (+1 troop).
Other than that, I really liked the variety of regions and bonuses. It made the gameplay more interesting and challenging. I also like the foreign claims idea attacking Paris. Although the neutral 10 seems like quite a daunting challenge to overcome, I imagine during a game with 6 or more players, that territory could be taken pretty easily. Thanks for your hard work on this map.

this is true. will a lighter shade of green for the POI région help the grey border to be more visible?
ComposerNate wrote:Actually, I just learned the hard way that Charente-Maritime does NOT border Dordogne.

I'm a frenchman and loved to play on this map on game 14749409
i fell taht thes bonuses are well adaptes to the difficulty to hold one region.
i was surprised that you have to be in Paris to attack the Foreign claims. i think the Foreign claimsshould be conquerable from nearby territories.
all in all thanks for creating that map
