No I mean we've got 193 open maps beta and alpha, and 5 closed maps so right now we have 198 maps. The next on beta would be number 199! Am I the only one here who didn't sleep during math lessons in school :-s :lol: ?

No, read all about it in a future edition of the dispatch. Just finished an article on classic map.
Classic has been through a lot of revamps but art was made outside of classic and by different people. Both versions are counted as different maps.

No, read all about it in a future edition of the dispatch. Just finished an article on classic map.
Classic has been through a lot of revamps but art was made outside of classic and by different people. Both versions are counted as different maps.

But no games show up as Classic Art! All the games that were played on Classic Art now show up as Classic. So even though the graphics were made by different mapmakers both of the maps contain the same amount of territs, the bonuses are exactly the same and the XML is identical otherwise the games from the past couldn't be merged with the newer. I won't post more about this in this thread since it's quite off topic :) . I still won't recognize them as two different maps.

There are 198 maps. This excludes all versions of Classic, as they are all lumped together with the current.

Semantics, but I will further say that this is the 200th as stated by isaiah40 because of the one that we all forgot.

It is classed as a map all of its own according to the map portal.

The map has passed through rigorous gameplay and graphics examinations and all major concerns have been addressed. If you have any other concerns, please make your voice heard. If after a reasonable amount of time there has not been any objection or protest, the map will be stamped and submitted for the Beta period.

HI all,

koontz has changed the starting positions and has asked me to retest the file. I hace confirmed that everything in the file is the same except for the initial positions. And the initial positions are ok. So the change is also ok.
Welcoming the long awaited Trench Warfare Setting (Previously Adjacent Attacks).

I was going to send the file to lackattack when I noticed that Sithembiso is spelled Sithembisa in the xml.
I'll send the files to the turtle as soon as the mispelled name will be fixed. ;)

Thanks for spotting that. It was not the first time that I had changed an O for an A. All fixed and checked with the xml checker to make sure I got them all.
