The list of names would be a great help.

Or perhaps move the numbers down a little - the icons are great-looking, it would be a shame not to see them.

Big improvement in my opinion. I hope you're doing the same for Hungary int he meantime. Some of the numbers are a tad difficult to read, blu eon Mirau for example. Use the dodge tool in photoshop to make the area of the castle where the numbers overlap slightly lighter, that way the numbers show through better.

And I think I mentioned this before, but the colors over the lower right legend make the words very hard to read. They're not necessary and you could do without.

And this just occurred to me... what about making the territory, castle, town and hanseatic town names in white instead of black. Or perhaps a light gray? I think they would be much more easier on the eyes that way. And don't worry if you don't want to take the time to change every single one... you can change multiple text layers in photoshop: http://blogs.sitepoint.com/2004/11/30/c ... photoshop/

yes, I´m working on Hungary just now...

I know. also all grey numbers. have one idea, will see if it works.

unfortunately my PS does not work more... I work with GIMP.

yes I remeber. but you also mentioned that only shields are not enough to show which bonus is for which continent... ou, and wait please, I hope Nobodies will do any magic with these colours in PS ;)

will try.

It's usually a good idea to show 888 because two digits are quite common and the third digit stands in place of the colour code ("r88")

I think now are numbers visible fine.

the other colour for text (white/light grey) did not look good. there is problem in light coloured territories...

If you can post images without numbers (large and small, if possible), I have enough of the XML together that I can try the Map Inspect tool and post some screenshots showing exactly how the numbers will look in live play.

or we could go with these a little more contrast. I like them more.

The irony here is that the map inspect tool actually does not show the numbers exactly like they look in play... not since lack changed the font rendering.

The numbers in thebastard's last numbered image are actually closer to how the numbers look in play than the map inspect tool's numbers.

Oh, that's a shame about the map inspect tool. I hope someone can update it, as it is still useful as a means to generate a text map which can be checked. Would a screenshot from chipv's Map XML Wizard be closer to the look of a game in play?

If you've had polls on the thread before you need to get a foundry mod to delete them before you can create a new poll.

I don't think you really need a poll for this anyway. I've noticed during my time in the foundry that foundry polls suck. Nobody answers them if you ask anything more complicated than "do you like this map idea" and such. At this point it's much better to just let people to post their opinion and make your decision based on the feedback.

I am working on the XML and have a question: Does the Hanseatic Towns bonus of +1 for three extend to +2 for six?
