BTW - I haven't followed the convo close - But I'm against an objective for this map if one is being proposed. I think it's good not to mess with an already great formula.

ViperOverLord, thanks for the kudos, and for dropping in...
I'm very sorry to inform you, but there is already an objective on the map, even though you may never have used/seen it.
So it is there, but play can render it obsolete.

LOL - Even as I was saying that, I was wondering in the back of my mind if the there was an objective. I'm thinking I may have even gotten it once or twice by accident.

I don't think the objective necessarily needs to be achievable in every map, or a highly viable alternative to enemy annihilation - I think it can sometimes be fine to have hard objectives, as they can still serve a purpose of shortening the endgame. Although, on the other hand, on most maps it'd probably be better not to have that objective at all...

However, I think in this case this map has no real gameplay problem to be fixed, it seems to be balanced and plays well, so I think it's best to concentrate on future maps rather than "fix things that aren't broken".

I just came here to post that the objective victory conditions aren't listed by BoB, which I just noticed for the first time today. Not even sure if this is the right place to mention it. Personally I've never seen/heard of anyone winning via those anyway.
