I'd like to finish this up and put it to bed, if there is anything that needs fixing that is.
It's been so long I really don't remember there being a "before/after" to the fortifying of the ships.nietzsche wrote:not until they change it back the way it was at the beginning, unable to fort back troops to the ships.

The way they are setup, gameplay wise, I don't see why a player shouldn't be able to reinforce back to the ships. It does mean a player needs to have a port connected to the ship, and have taken the 2n small boat. These two requirements at a minimum take 5n to kill, and is an automatic loss of at least 1 troop since the small boats revert to 2n. Also, my vision of the way the ships work would provide for a loop of "supplies" (troops), to and from the ports and ships, as they are currently set.
Personally I don't see why it should be changed, but certainly interested in more of your perspective.
I agree. I actually talked about keeping the map excluded from the parachute setting bc it skirted the whole one way ship idea, and I didn't like that. It was decided to just leave it open to all types and let players do what they want.Donelladan wrote:Maybe you played it in parachute. I don't think it was ever the case you described.
Currently if you only have the "out" ship you can't fort back. You need the "in" ship.

I think in the past you could only fort back if you owned the 2nd boat, the one that can attack to the ship? That made it interesting. At one point they changed it so that you can fort back even if you didn't own the "in" boat, owning the "out" boat was enough.
I'm not sure if that's still the case. I don't remember much as I haven't played that map recently. I stopped playing when it was changed.
Maybe IAmCaff can help me here if he remembers.

Not sure if you're forgetting that even in a trench game you can ALWAYS attack through a killer neutral. So for example, even though it's trench you can still attack the large ship on your same turn as taking the small killer neutral ship. If that's not what you meant just let me know and I'll try to help.

Without any further objections, I hereby quench this map!
Congratulations, Seamus76.
