You should refine the borders of Managua and San José, a bit pixelous on the lake side. The same thing for the atlantic coast in Limòn and Canal.
But they can be easily fixed in the final forge

does darién have an accent? wikipedia has, but i'm sure i've seen it in the past without too, as currently on the map.

It's great to see this in the Final Forge and I really like the graphics style. I'd suggest that you move the text which says "Hold both Sea Routes and Canal +1" to the space just above the actual Canal region to prevent confusion. I think that's all.

Alright, here's the updated XML with coordinates. My only concern is that I used chipv's XML Wizard to test and tweak the coordinates and it reverted my character entity references to the actual characters... if i remember correctly, CC's engine has always been able to read the straight characters, but BOB had trouble with them. If BOB's problems have been resolved, we're good to go.

I believe that now we use UTF-8 encoding - the XML will work with the chars inline...

In fact - if we'd always used UTF-8 - BOB would not have had any problems - the issue we had at one point was ampersands in names - and not parsing those correctly for hovers. (IIRC)

Yes... XML wizard doesn't handle ampersands properly. Every time I use it I need to manually convert all ampersands to character codes. That's why I make all minor adjustments by hand these days.

Version 14:
-Moved a couple territory names around (Islas de la Bahia up, Chiriqui down a little bit, Puntarenas down a bit)
-Added the full name for RAAS (only changed on the large, it was there last small version)
-Fixed up the credits. I think the brighter green is much more readable
-Spaced out/tried to center the sea rout names. I think I accidentally bumped the font size of Atlantic up, something I'll fix next update.

I'm going to look into moving the Canal bonus text next version, curious as to how it would look. I kind of like it where it is, but if it improves on things I won't mind moving it!

On the large image, "Atlantic" looks like it's in bigger font size than "Pacific". This doesn't appear on the small version, so I assume it's unintentional...?

Fixed some coordinates, though the titles of the islands seem pretty close now. And when I wrote the code almost a year ago there was still a connection between Rio San Juan and San Jose!

This is pretty much there though - the XML has been checked and come back clean so that stamp is all but done. You may want to eyeball the coordinates because you may see something you don't like (such as the islands).

I know it's late, but looking back at the map, I'm not sure the grunge is the best way to go about the water. At least try lowering the opacity and making the water color a more aquamarine; atm it doesn't fit with your land colors.

Maybe WWII Eastern Front? It has one of the longest topics, which could translate into long production. Somewhere in the Foundry Discussions forum there was a topic that tallied the time in real days of production for a number of maps---up to a given point (probably many maps ago).

After an extended period of time in BETA and once all quirks and issues have been resolved, the map will be put into Full Play (barring any Lack vetoes).

While the map is in BETA Play, there are a couple of administrative tasks that are required of the mapmaker(s) in addition to the initial gameplay testing:

1. Please ensure that the first post of the thread contains all the necessary information to help future visitors to the development thread; it's particularly important to ensure the most recent images are there, along with any helpful guides (such as gameplay quirks/nuances or the location/size of any starting neutrals etc.)
2. Please update the Map Information Portal with details of your map
3. Finally, it is the responsibility of the mapmaker(s) to ensure that they respond to further feedback in a timely and constructive manner.
