Teya...you're back! Did you have a nice Easter break?
With the large map, i'm not even going there yet, until all the little issues with the small map are ironed out. I'm well aware there will be tweaks required as stated, but I don't want to be re-working the whole large map for several issues.

Watch this space!! :D

Yes and thanks, and I see what you say. It's an issue that will have to be solved...later! Perhaps it is blurriness cause by pixel increase translation going from small to large...I'm sure it can be overcome - probably with a lot of hard work knowing my luck.

in the small version none of the islands have sand beaches while on the large one all of them have except for Double Is.

DiM....on this screen it is showing beaches on both...perhaps Shift + Refresh in your browser.
Thanks for your feedback!

yep again the refresh problem

but still Doubles Is. has no sand. if it is like that in reality then it's ok.

DiM...to be honest...I don't know...I have never been there, but Ideliberately left it without sand as I know this island as viewed from the mainland is like two lumps of rock and trees sticking out of the water, but for YOU, I will add sand. HOw's that.!...in the map above.

Please also note: that on the large map, I am working through changing the size oif the army shadows, so some of them are different sizes.

Edit: Army Shadows have now been completed on the large map - resized to 26x26px.

perfect. it seemed so sad that that's the only island without sandy beaches and beautiful girls :)

the mediterranean is highly overrated. i tend to avoid the trendy locations. i can always find a more quiet and more beautiful location where i can have loads of fun.

i've always wanted to come to australia or new zeeland in a vacation but the huge distance makes it kinda expensive at the moment so i'll stick to my europe.

one more thing.
you have Mt Mulligan and Saddle Mtn.
use a dot at after Mt or Mtn and use only one form. either Mt or Mtn

Yes, thanks DiM, I have added the 'punk' in appropriate places, but I would prefer to keep it as Mt. Mulligan (Mount Mulligan) and Saddle Mtn. (Saddle Mountain) - they are two different abbreviations used for two different word pronounciations.

i think the beaches are too thick around the islands.

oh- and this is minor and unecessary, but i think you should say
"graphics-cairnsWK, gameplay-Samus"
at the bottom instead of "map"... just has more ring to it. but if you for w/e reason like "map" better its completely your preference.

Yes Mibi, I try to go with you guys as much as possible and that tree was unnecessary, so it got dished. Glad you are pleased. :)

Mmmmm. OK. I'll compromise, i'll reduce the sand around Green Island but that's it. If i take away sand from other islands, there'd be nothing there, they are already thin.

Mmmmm...I'll ponder this one and do some research, adn let you know my decision.
Thanks Enigma.

i disagree. unless the map was samus's idea. the map was started with by CainsWK and it's his map, not just graphics.

sorry- thats fine. i was in no way trying to take credit away from cairnswk- just liked the sound of the 2 "g"s.

wow. looking at it on a laptop as opposed to a desktop makes a huge difference.
did you change the colour of the beaches at all? they seem to have a greenish hue now that i dont remember from a page ago. that may be part of the problem- maybe make them a little more golden?

it's the difference between monitors

i have the same issue. at home i have a 21'' CRT and at work a 17'' TFT and the maps look different on them. try adjusting the settings.

enigma, i didn't change de colour, only de tickness 'round de ilands.
i doun see any difference, 'haps DiM is crect 'tween 'tops and 'station tubes.

On the map vs graphics title, I think i will stay with "map", I understand your gg concept; the graphic element is part of the map and the map is my overall effort, I wrote and asked Samus to be mentioned as this is my first map, and believe his invaluable contribution to sorting out the bonuses should be acknowledged also.

Tanks 4 de toughts on dat one.

lol yeah its crazy- i was tlking bout the same moniter with the tint though- the beaches had looked absolutely massive on my desktop before, but looking back on my normal screen the colour still seems a lil off.

well enigma you were correct, the colour on the beaches had changed to a slightly greenish hue, don't know how that happened, but have adjusted it back, so it should look better now, also the islands have been adjusted.
