like let's say a map of the sanctuary placed in the chapter 2 timeline, right when people fought to destroy the sanctuary and it's ice spell. it would be like an explanation for the things that triggered the events in chapter 3.
or a battle for mua castle in chapter 1. only this time the map is zoomed on the whole mua island and we have legions and troops in formations and we have various commanders and stuff.
or how about a story on how Troch the orc leader in chapter 3 came to power and how he battled other orc chieftains to get control of the orcs and unite them under one banner.
i'm also thinking to go beyond the portal to the realms from where all the creatures in chapter 3 came from. i'm thinking of a world on the brink of destruction who's only chance is opening this portal and getting out. with an objective like holding various spots (triggers) to open the portal. and it would include a mixture of decaying terits as well as killer neutrals to simulate the destruction of the world. or the neutral zombies if this feature is introduced by that time.

even with a monochromatic image having just 256 colours is crap. try converting AoM to 256 colours, you'll see a huge decrease in quality. or try the midle east map. same thing, the quality will plummet.

Ya, the only reason that it worked with Conquerman is because you could probably get the same look with like, 64 colours...
In terms of the spinoffs, I think that that idea would be SO awesome
