Sorry Guiscard, walls are not my forte. I tried to make one for my map but it was pathetic. I hope that someone else can help you. Best of luck.

I think if you enlarge the wall a little, it'll look better. But it definitely feels more like a wall.

One thing to consider, the mountains look a little off if you compare it with the wall graphic...I'm not sure why. They don't seem to fit in the same area, visual wise. Maybe it's the white light that accompanies the mountains? Or maybe the color, I'm not sure.

I think I know what you mean but I don't really have much of an idea as to what to do about it...

you have a really nice map i would like to play in it but i wonder if the gobi desert is a country too or a barrier

perhaps make golden horde lighter in colour and gobi desert darker, that might clear up confusion. Just an idea.

I could do, but the lack of army shadow and numbers in a game should make it obvious enough I'd have thought.

yes i suppose with the numbers it might be different. Ill wait and see at the moment it needs it but u might be right.

Yeh. This has come up a couple of times, but I'd prefer to ask again when I've got the xml sorted. Rather not make the edit if I don't have to as I quite like it how it is.

As for the rest of the map... what else needs doing? I'm having a play around with the mountains and wall to try and make it fit better, but apart from that can anyone think of anything?

Had a go at trying to get the wall to blenc better with the mountains.

Mountaisn are now brown and the bevel on the wall has been changed so the light source is from the same angle as the mountains (as the mountains were hand drawn).

Any better?

Perhaps. Maybe it's the fact the mountains look so jagged and out place because of that. Compare it to the rest of the map, the cool kind of sleek theme you have, smooth feeling.

Also, maybe consider extending the great wall a little into the Yugor - Henan border (not all the way) to give a little more sense of it being...so long.

You can put wall to close ONGGT and HENAN, becouse i think that wall definitly be long in these direction.

i think the mountains look good now ;)

I think I actually preffered the mountains grey to be honest... Anyone else agree with me???

i may try and re-do the mountains to be 'smoother' if at all possible. Make it match better. Will definitely extend the wall between Onggt and Henan, as Qwert is right in saying it is closer to the real route.

Agreed

I think I did too, now seeing the browns. But see if you can make it all softer and smoother...if that makes sense.

Maybe enlarge the thickness of the wall by 25% percent or so, it almost feels too 'thin'.

I'll take a good look at game play again in a little while.

maybe you should name the seas or the lakes it seems very empty in there if you compare the rest of the map

Any better?? Bigger and extended wall, but of blur on the mountains to try and make them a bit softer...
