<DELETE ME>
PLACE THE NAME OF THE ACCUSED IN THE SUBJECT LINE!!!

Accused:

ZORBAS

The accused are suspected of:

Other: Manipulating the timing and spoils system

Game number(s): 5381889

Comments:

I would like to report cheating in game 5381889 by player Zorbas. Based on the order of play, Zorbas would have been forced to turn in the first set of escalating spoils, as we both had 5 cards. However, instead of taking his turn, Zorbas allowed time to lapse. This would be ok because I could also allow my time to lapse and Zorbas would be kicked out for missing turns before I would. However, next round (after missing one round), Zorbas preceeded to start his turn and then allow time to lapse BEFORE cashing in his cards. By taking this cheating tactic, Zorbas can continue the game forever and force me to take my cards first even though he drew first position. As soon as I took my toon (and was forced to cash in spoils), Zorbas IMMEDIATELY took his turn (showing he was watching and doing this intentionally).

This is a massive violation of the spirit of CC. I am requesting 2 items: 1.) That Zorbas' account is terminated 2.) That an enhancement to the program is made so that this type of manipulation/cheating cannot be done again.

Thank you,

paypay

Is it against the spirit of the game? Yes, in my opinion. Is it cheating? Gray area, at best. This actually belongs more appropriately in the Suggs and Bugs forum (minus the anti-Zorbas stuff), as far as I can tell. Even if it IS cheating however, they're not going to terminate his account over one instance of it being reported. Nor should they.

really pointless accusation there mate, once you play speed games regularly you realise how often this happens, seeing as your the only one that has brought it up, might as well just withdraw it now, you wont get anywhere with it.

You are playing a strategy game and while this might be considered a lame tactic it definitely isn't cheating. Any move he attampts to pull on you? You can return the favor. Then again, you won the game so this tactic certainly didn't give Zorbas any type of advantage and was hardly worth the effort to report here.

Don't like how someone plays the game? Give them a rating that shows it.

As what they said above. You can rate him accordingly and put him in your foe list, if you wish. It's not cheating. He just played the way he thinks would be advantageous for him and gave more focus on the game of being an escalating type rather than really coming up with a good gameplay.

Didn't he lose a certain number of troops anyway by starting his turn and not deploying them? I would think this strategy would prove to be a disadvantage, and therefore won't happen too often.
