Who was that trigger-happy asshat who banned tall hadas effectively causing us a loss?

Well, cursing aside, we didn't see this coming! See: Game 5261071. Stretching out, but instead of having green using his bonus to break pink, pink gets kicked out handing over his territories to yellow who will go now with 15 areas + a handsome bonus. This was disturbing! Disturbing indeed.

Haven't really thought about the distribution of troops. If someone deadbeats, is it the same there (i.e. everything goes to the next-going player in that team)? Wouldn't it be nicer if the troops/territories was divided among the team in question? Moving to suggs?

Question might be... why doesn't the kicked out player turn neutral?

it does in certain game types but in team games it goes to one of the team mates. I heard tell it used to be different but i can't confirm it.

It's a team game and it gas always had the rule that if a player is kicked then his armies and territs go to the next player on that team, nothing new or strange.

However as that only used to happen when a player deadbeated it wasn't much of an issue but with the new rule of kicking players that gets a site ban (tall hadas most likely was found to be a multi) there have been some problems like this. IIRC lack intends to change the auto kick to take 3 rounds, so that everyone in a game with a busted player gets fair warning, but I don't know when that will be done.

the kicked out player used to turn neutral and it was a nightmare for everyone on both sides...

actually, this was a change, and although it is no longer new or strange, it is indeed something that has changed within team games...-0

Well true but that change was made over 2 years ago and has been in effect longer than the original rule, it's really nothing that anyone should be surprised about tbh.

This is in line with the update:

Auto-kicking multies

Once busted, multiple accounts have been blocked from playing new games but allowed to continue their existing ones. There were a few reasons we designed it that way, a big one being that we didn't want other players in those games wait 72 hours for the multi to be auto-kicked. Obviously this is less than ideal as some members do not enjoy playing against known cheaters!

From now on, inactivated multies will be immediately auto-kicked from their games and will also be auto-dropped from any waiting games. Same goes for members who are given website bans for whatever reason and for whatever length of time. Just like when players are auto-kicked for missing too many turns, in these cases teammates will inherit troops and spoils, assassin targets will be reassigned, and the final winner will get the points in terminator games.
