chaosfactor [noted]

Postby TruePurple on Mon Jul 27, 2009 3:29 am

Accused:
chaosfactor

The accused are suspected of:
Other: Intentionally missing turns.

Game number(s):
Game 5219653

Comments:

Based on my conversation with chaos, I think he got it into his head to not play his turns as a way to get out of the game. Then when I complained to him that, that it is not good to intentionally miss turns, his jeering "its fine, you &*@#" attitude makes me think he is intentionally missing turns now just to spite me.

He makes me wait so long, that I missed a turn myself. (with so much space between turns, I forgot about the game. The game is already over, but now I have to wait for his 24 hours to laps to make it offical. Grrr :x

*edit in*

If you notice, hes let a couple turns expire, where hes started the turn but not ended it. Hes done so very close to the 24 hours too, like he is wanting to maximize the time he makes everyone else wait without getting a missed turn on his record.

I always slow my turns down when I'm losing so that my opponent can savour the win all the more.

Chaosfactor is merely taking that impulse to its alturistic extent.

What a good man he is!

Be sure before you accuse someone!
He is breaking no rules by missing a turn, but on the other hand
you could be accused of holding him hostage,
which is a violation.

Since chaosfactor only holds 3 single defended territories
and you didn't bother eliminating him.

So suck it up cupcake this game should be finished already
but you didn't show up to end it.

Well with sucky people like you guys around, and ultra slow development of the game in general despite there still being many things to work on, who can blame me for not wanting to buy into this game. Whats that have to do with this anyway? There is no rule that you have to pay in order for you to expect other people to follow the rules.

I told you why I missed a single turn. (I think I missed maybe one other turn in the entire time I've played here) Waiting days for my turn to roll around (yellow ha let a few turns pass too) makes one so bored of the game, that it is easy to forget it. My record should speak to the fact that it was not intentional.

The point is that, not has he missed many turns, most of them near the end when he realized he wasn't going to win. But he also admitted to intentionally missing turns, rubbed it in my face even. And I have been informed by a number of people this is against the rules.

So if you dickheads don't have anything constructive to add to the thread, butt the hell out!

P.S.Mr Changsha, if your post was meant to be nicely humorous, and I think it was, then I am not including you in my scorn of these crappy replies. You got jokes, though don't take that overboard please.

first of all, nice flames... second of all, he isn't breaking any rules. if he misses 3 turns in a row, he will be auto-kicked from the game for dead beating. as far as your comments about the site and it's poor development, i challenge you to find another site that is it's equal in maps and unique gameplay... but then again, with 12 whole completed games under your belt, you are easily well versed in all of the maps, types of play, settings, etc... i don't even think you have reached the point where all the difficult maps are visible to you yet! but hey, run off somewhere else and teach us all a lesson for answering your question... sorry that you are only available to play 4 games at a time and you want your games to go faster. perhaps you should go to live chat or callouts and seek real time games with other members. that is a very simple solution. i have once again joined the ranks of the freemiums, and still have a nice number of games going, so i don't feel your pain... good luck in the future... but it seems as if this site is not for you, since the game sucks and the development is nowhere near as good as other sites you frequent...-0

As oVo has already pointed out, be very, very sure before you accuse someone of cheating. You'll get yourself a bad rep in no time if you rush headlong into the C&A forum to report someone for cheating without double checking your facts at least twice. Missing turns on purpose is not against rules, intentional deadbeating is(missing 3 consecutive turns to get ejected from the game).

Until then you've got nothing on him.

Um...flaming is against the rules too btw.

You did have a chance to end the game. He missed you missed. If you took the turn, the game would be over. If you didnt miss your turn, you could have posted this...but then, the game would have been over 48 hours earlier, so Im not sure you would have.

So is trolling, which is what I mostly got for replies to this thread above my last post.

Some of you talk like he missed one turn, hes missed a few turns. And when he isn't missing a turn, hes waiting till the 24 hours is nearly up to do his turn. And at that, starting the turn but not ending it so it takes yet another hour.

@killing
Not sure what is unclear about that.

When your so use to waiting so long for your turn to come up, one can forget that there was a game in the first place.

Well it seems like trolling, and maybe to some degree it is, but this forum is setup so that the community can help discuss what is cheating and what isnt.

And no ones complaining that you missed your turn. Only that posting this was perhaps poor judgement, because you did miss a turn, and when the game would have been made much shorter had you made it. You cant blame him for using his whole 24 hours for missing your turn, because you still had 24 hours to make your turn.

I know this may seem like everyones ganging up on you, but everyones actually trying to help. For one, he just isnt holding the game hostage, two, he doesnt seem to be intentionally deadbeating, and three... if you miss a turn in a game, its just better to not complain about someone else missing it, because it just will get you into trouble.

You made your claim, it will be looked at.. so far most of the posters dont think its a big deal, so perhaps you can infer from that, that it probably isnt.

Just let it go. He dragged out a game a little bit and wasted some of your time. Dont waste more trying to make this into a case that it just isnt right now. Take your next turn, kill him, post gg, and move on.

Its that easy.

Hes missed several turns.

If you notice, hes let a couple turns expire, where hes started the turn but not ended it. Hes done so very close to the 24 hours too, like he is wanting to maximize the time he makes everyone else wait without getting a turn skip on his record.

Lastely, his words in the game chat make it clear this is all intentional.

'Constructive' adj. meaning to completely agree with the OP. 'True Purple Dictionary 2009 Edition'

I suspect I may have just gone overboard... ;)

But seriously now TruePurple, players miss turns and it is not against the rules to miss turns because 97% of the time the only one adversely effected by the miss is the chap that missed the turn.

He's not holding you hostage because you're winning and can therefore finish him.

Playing your turns after 23 hours is perfectly normal. I do it myself all the time (genuinely) but no one has ever complained about it. Why? Because my opponents are all premium or at least experienced players (who probably were premium) and know that's just how it is.

However, one of these reasons you are being jumped on from such a height is because the C and A forum has just been filled with spurious accusations for the last couple of months. Yours is far from the most spurious, believe me. The regulars are trying to get this place in order again and aggressive trolling of these kinds of (spurious) threads is one way to do that.

Finish the game off, foe Chaos if you like and get on with playing the game. However, try to remember that we all have 24 hours to play our turns and there is nothing wrong with waiting up to the last second to play. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Now theres a bit of trolling. Constructive means contributing to the topic, many replies didn't even get close.

I was winning, but from the time it was clear I was winning till the time I was able to finish everyone off was maybe 4-5 turns(or longer, depending on when you count the win being "obvious). Which is 4-5 days worth of extra waiting for chaos's time to run out. (and yellow a bit too)

Playing your turns after 23 hours is perfectly normal.

You time taking your turns to as close as 24 hours as you can then don't end your turn, to maximize your opponents waiting for you? If that is the norm around here, you seriously think it is worth investing money into the site? Weird person.

Yeah, but you must have been told 'constructively' five times by now WHY what chaos was doing wasn't cheating and therefore why you shouldn't have made this thread in the CHEATING AND ABUSE forum. However, as you refuse to comprehend what we are telling you (people that have been here for a good long while) I consider my definition to be pretty accurate...at least in your case.

The point your missing (continuously) about the time taken for turns is that we have 24 hours to take a turn. We can take 59 minutes of the hour if we so choose as well. In general premium members don't even think about this, but if we encounter a whiny freemium who berates us for being so slow, I think it is a fairly common practice to REALLY stretch the game out in that circumstance. But even in THAT case (which is yours) the premium is STILL not breaking any rules.

So to conclude, stop pissing people off in games - I read the gamechat and you'd have pissed me off for certain. Stop whining about people 'wasting time' when they are doing nothing of the sort. Stop posting irrelevent crap in this forum and how about actually READING THE RULES before you make another one? Finally, buy premium and give me the satisfaction of knowing that you'll have changed your opinin on this within one week.

If we can have more games that he is intentionally doing this then we can look into this behavior further. For now, as what the others said, feel free to put him on your foes list so that he won't be able to join into your future games.
